This bit kit does all I need and takes my Leatherman to another level. The bit holder makes it convenient to keep the bits stored together until needed. The two holders will fit in a shirt pocket or if desired will hook onto a small carabiner like the ones for hooking keys to a belt. The bits are sturdy and have no flaws and are compatible with the extension bit holder and "711L" mini ratchet that I bought. I originally thought I would use this set with chain saw and for machinery quick fixes, but the uses are pretty much endless. I have carried the Leatherman Multi-Tool for many years. I wished they had more bits and now they do. These are worth the money and will last for a very long time.

I bought this to replace the original Bit Kit that came with my Leatherman Wave nearly 20 years ago. Those bits went with me through Iraq, Afghanistan, countless field exercises, camping trips, hunting trips, fishing trips, and years of everyday use. After all that, they were finally starting to show enough wear that it was time for a replacement. I was honestly thrilled to find that Leatherman still makes this exact kit. The new bits fit perfectly, are every bit as well made as the originals, and have my favorite multi-tool back to performing like new. It's hard to ask for a better endorsement than getting nearly two decades of hard use out of the first set. If you own a Wave or another compatible Leatherman that uses these flat bits, this kit is absolutely worth having. It's one of those upgrades that makes an already excellent tool even better.

These came in handy within 24 hours of receiving them. They were light enough I took them on a bike ride with friends. When one of my friend's bikes had a sticky rear brake it seemed he was going to be struggling for some time since we were still miles from home. Instead I pulled out my light weight Leatherman Bit Kit Leatherman 931014 40-Bit Assortment for Leatherman Bit Drivers , found the right sized metric hex bit, and my 1/4" bit ratchet VIM Tools HBR3 Bit Ratchet , and tightened up the loose brake caliper. These bits are well made in Taiwan and hold snugly enough to stay put in their black plastic holders. If you want a thorough set of bits that take up a fraction of the room and weight as standard bits choose these. They are the most practical choice if you want to carry a large number of bits in your pocket. Even with both holders stacked on top of each other they go relatively un-noticed in a front pocket of my work jeans. You pay a premium for these bits, but the tools you have with you are by far the most used. Mine have paid for themselves in less than 24 hours. And I'm sure they will stand up to years of use and abuse. I have not seen any other manufacturer make 1/4" hex bits that are half the width as Leatherman has done with these bits...extremely portable. I carry the Surge at work that as of a couple years ago no longer has any holder for the eyeglasses screwdriver. I do carry a tool that would work in a pinch, my 6" Knipex Pliers Wrench KNIPEX 86 03 150 Pliers Wrench but I have ordered a pin vise that has a 3-jaw chuck rather than the typical collet type. I had tested a collet type pin vise and no matter how much I tightened it the eyeglasses screwdriver bit still would spin. This is the 3-jaw chuck type pin vise I ordered In-tool-home Blue Adjustable Pin Vise Model Hand Drill Keyless Chuck Set with Twist Drill Bits Set of 11 . It is coming from China so I may have wait a little bit to test it out.

Let's start by my admitting that, while I own a couple of Leatherman® tools I don't own one that uses these little bits. I do, however have a Gordon multi-tool that does and it's almost a carbon copy of the Wave. Gordon is sold by Harbor Freight® and that particular tool costs quite a bit less than its more-famous cousin. This made it an easy decision for the one tool that is in the "first-grabbed" drawer instead of with my "carry-around" tools or the EDC pack in the truck. As such, a set of extra bits for the other types of screws and fasteners made sense for this location. It's so handy for those quick jobs around the house or when you don't need to bother digging through the tool box to find that one particular driver that you need for just that 2-minute job that you'd otherwise put off. Almost all the bits fit the Gordon as well as they would the Wave and I am more than satisfied with the substitution. Leatherman® made a nice decision to make this set, and to make it so very compact. A lot of people think this design is, therefore, proprietary, but it is not. As other reviewers said, there are several mutli-tools that can take these and you also can take one of these bits and slip it into a standard 1/4" driver where it will work fine. But you have to use your head and realize that the amount of torque you can apply is limited by its smaller size. Given that, it's easy to realize that this set with just about any multi-tool gives you more that 40 fastener sizes in a very small package! Overall the bit sizes are in the description and I was particularly pleased with the wide selection of Torx and the convenient inclusion of Robertson (square drive) bits. Although not used much in the U.S., many electrical outlets and switches have screws that can be driven with Robertson or Phillips or flat blade and once you've used the square drive over one of the other types you won't go back. My only complaint about the set is the cost and the seeming inability to replace just one bit should it get lost or damaged. And this is not a reflection on this bit set, but if you buy it to use with a Gordon multi-tool, the small (eyeglasses) screwdriver bit will not fit the Gordon tool.

I bought these bits to carry with my Leatherman Skeletool. They fit perfectly in the holster and make the Skeletool extremely versatile. They are a perfect addition at a great price. The bits are high quality and fit and work perfectly. I highly recommend.

The bit kit was a nice addition to my Leatherman tool pouch. I own the large and medium Leatherman nylon pouches. If I am only carrying my multitool I use the medium pouch. The large pouch holds my wave plus, flashlight, bit extender and bit kit. Everything fits snug but is secure. My only issue is the fit of the bit kit within the sheath. They can hang on the elastic band that seperates the bits from the multitool. It would be nice to have a slightly larger pocket to hold the bits. It is still a nice collection of bits that are very useful. Leatherman continues to make quality tools that I use on a daily basis.
