fits good, adjusts good, buckle could be slightly improved
husband loves this belt. the black buckle got scratched pretty quickly given he tucks his shirt in for work. the scratches were very noticeable since its silver underneath the paint. we had some black spray paint and painted over it. its good as new. i wont take a star off because it really is a great belt. my husband is a blue collar worker so its to be expected that it would wear. would be great if they could sort out a fix for that though in the future :)

Lots of Benefits for Me
So far, very excited. I've only had my belts a few weeks but I wish I had bought these earlier.1) Of course the major advantage is having a belt that always fits perfectly. On a traditional belt, you should have 5 holes and your buckle should go through the center hole. Well, as I tend to work out a lot, my waist adjusts and there are times I literally need to punch a new hole in my belt (seriously, I bought a belt hole-puncher from Amazon) and it ends up looking terrible with 5 holes or more on one side. It's even hard to find a properly-fitted belt to buy in the first place. There are also times a traditional belt pulls on the buckle creating an indentation, and when it's time to go to a new hole my belt already has a permanent impression on it. This also looks terrible. With the slide belt, there is no forward-back interaction with the buckle to create a mark where it's frequently used, and it will hopefully always look more polished.2) I have to go through a metal detector at work. My belts always set it off, so I have to remove them before walking through. With the Mission Belt, it seems to me it slides off a lot more easily than a traditional buckle, and I've found it makes the start of my day easier.3) I didn't even realize (until another reviewer pointed it out) that you can buy the leather or nylon straps separate from the buckles! This is a huge deal. They are around $20 as opposed to the full belt with buckle combos. I have quite a few pairs of shoes and need black, dark brown, and light brown matching belts. Interchangeable straps is a huge benefit to me, and justifies the fact I accidentally ordered a 40mm belt at first because I didn't realize it came in 35mm. Since I liked it and ordered my second color in 35mm, I now have both buckles and I can simply buy whatever strap I want and change buckles that day. I personally plan on using the wider 40mm belts for casual wear, and the 35mm belts for use with my daily work suits.4) I see quite a few reviewers complaining about the quality of the leather or the buckles. I haven't experienced this yet, but plan on making Mission Belts my #1 choice when in need of a belt, so I'm also glad to read reviews that their customer service stands behind their product if I ever need it.5) I was concerned about the Mission Belt logo on the buckles when I first bought these, but I'm glad to see it hasn't been an issue at all since I've received them. It's a minimalist design and doesn't detract from the overall attractiveness, which I was worried about. I also read in another review that someone likes the Mission Belt straps better, but buys the Slide Belt buckles because they claim they fit, and they like the Slide Belt buckles better. I can't personally confirm Slide Belt buckles work on these.6) A belt might seem like a minor accessory, but I have a great sense of pride every time I "click" mine back into place...kind of like I've got access to some sort of advanced belt spy technology most people don't know about. If a belt can actually make me feel good each time I put it on, I'd say it's worth the price.Suggested improvements:- seems like on my medium belt there are 4 1/4" from the finished end of the belt to the track that starts to click into the buckle. So even if you decide cut the one end so you only have the minimum excess, you will always have at least 4 1/4" sticking past your buckle. And that would mean you can't gain any more weight than you currently have or you'd outsize it. I'd like to see a couple more inches of that track extended so I have the option of not having so much excess belt sticking out. I don't know if this was a structural decision or not. I also want to add to anyone reading that this in no way should stop you from purchasing this belt.- I'm a bit of a minimalist and appreciate simplicity, so if there was the option of a plain buckle without a logo on it, I would choose that option even if it was a couple dollars more.- Finally, I appreciate a company that has a quality product, knows it and charges a fair price. I like that Mission doesn't have a lot of sales and the price is consistent over time. It allows me to concentrate on whether this is a product I'd like to purchase rather than worrying about buyer's regret later and that I maybe missed out on a deal or bought from the wrong venue.

The Best Belt On the Market With a Caveat
I have been looking to replace my belts which were peeling off in sections after being in use after 10 years. I needed to find a good set of belts to replace those ones. As I begin to research I came across the Mission Belt. I shuddered when I looked at the price of this belt since I could buy 3 regular belts for that price. So I took a chance and bought just one pair to see if this belt does really do what it says and if it is worth the money. When the belt came, I immediately put it on and then read the instructions (I guess men only look to read the instructions only after things go wrong ;) to get themselves out of the mess). I struggled to get the belt loose the first time but once you read the instruction, you will know how to release the belt from the buckle. PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE YOU PUT ON THE BELT!!! I love the fact that this belt does not have punch holes but tightens every 1/4th of an inch. The Mission Belt is awesome and is of fine craftsmanship and of quality and I would greatly recommend that you go buy one for yourself and check it out. If you don't like it, you can always send it back and get your money back. The only downside to this belt is the heavy buckle. Now if they could bring that price down to about $25, this would be the best belt in the world. I have since ordered two more belts in different colors from Mission Belt directly because they sent a 10% off coupon. Go get one and you will not regret it.Update 12/17/2015The belt has cracked in a couple of places on the inside not even lasting 18 months. Granted that I used this belt quite regularly but this has become an expensive endeavor for it to last not even two years. I am shocked that the belt would crack in two places. Unless you are willing to buy more belts and not use them on a continual basis (instead on a rotating basis), you will be spending $35 (minimum) a pop every 18 months or so. For that reason, I am very disappointed in a product that I wholeheartedly endorsed. I am dropping my rating from five stars down to three stars for this reason. My $11 belt from a local department store lasted me more than 5 years which makes me wonder if I ended up with a bad apple here. I do not know if anyone else has had a similar experience on this front. Be forewarned that it might happen to you and so please buy with caution.Update December 22, 2015I emailed a couple of photographs of the cracked belt to Mission Belt at [email protected] and I got a response within 24 hours. They asked for my order number and where I purchased it and when I emailed that information. They requested confirmation of my address which I promptly sent them. Today, I received a brand new belt to replace that cracked one at no cost to me. That is customer service. They do stand behind their belts with a lifetime guarantee. That is a product that I now can buy not only with confidence but recommend to anyone who needs one to buy it whole-heartedly.
