The Powers That B [2 LP][Explicit]

This double album is awesome. Unlike Fashion Week and Government Plates, MC Ride's vocals are prominent on most of this album.The first side is a glitchy, bjork sample filled collage of electronic music. The second half is guitar dominant with the instrumentation sounding like a blend of Black Sabbath, Nine Inch Nails, and Nirvana. Although they could stand on their own as two different albums, they compliment each other nicely. As would be expected, the lyrical content is cryptic and dark, and the production value is outstanding. If you enjoyed any of their other albums, then you should get this one. You won't be disappointed.

As somebody who has been a big fan of heavy music all his life, I can say that this new Death Grips really goes at it hard. All of these songs are very "pedal to the metal" and never slow down in a good way. Death Grips's last album "Government Plates" was most certainly more instrumental than its predecessors and it sadly didn't live up to what I'd expect to hear from the group. Now, the first half of this album is all instrumentals however, I felt like these tracks are just simply better and provide more entertainment. I thought Bjork's contribution to this first half was very interesting as well. When it comes to the second half of this album is when the true greatness starts. These tracks shoot back to their first two albums and aren't full-on instrumentals. The catchiness and pounding rhythms are intoxicating. I really recommend this album if your looking for something hard-hitting.

Excellent record, definitely worth getting

Death Grips is conceivably the single best thing to happen to ever happen to humanity. This album is incredible, if you haven't listened to this album don't talk to me.

Although I've tried nothing, I can verify that everything works.

I pre-ordered this for a friend of mines to give for his birthday and it came right on time even though it was a pre-order and he loved it!

Zach Hill...real music. Avant Garde in its best. Very interesting music/sound. Like a rollercoaster. Fun and meaningful. A phenomenon beyond your imagination. The only question is, Can you survive the ride.

Great album great band i love the raw nature

Nel 2015 i Death Grips pubblicano il doppio disco "The power that B", diviso in "Niggas on The moon", si fa ridere, e "Jenny Death".Le strumentali di questo disco sono leggermente più armoniche rispetto ai lavori precedenti, rimanendo comunque molto sperimentali, eclettiche e violente, arricchite sempre dalle folli percussioni di Zach Hill.I testi di Burnett rimangono del tutto fuori dal mondo, zeppi di riferimenti sessuali, filosofici e horror.I brani si susseguono in maniera molto fluida, dando l'impressione di star ascoltando una singola traccia in continua evoluzioneIn conclusione un ottimo disco, ma non adatto a tutte le orecchie; consigliato ad ascoltatori audaci e aperti a nuove esperienze musicali.4/5

Death Grips + Bjork = Whoa! Disco doble con los dos eps casi lps ambos, la calidad del audio es fenomenal, el powers that B solo lo habia escuchado en spotify y fue genial en vinilo me volo la cabeza, escuchar todos los samples de bjork, basicamente es un disco lleno de samples de la voz de bjork con hip hop, industrialon, heavy al estilo de Death Grips, el disco me llego casi en perfecto estado solo uno de los vinilos traia un peque;o scratch aunque no me causo problema a la hora de reproducirlo, incluye dos vinilos en 180grs en gatefold con inserts y un sticker con la imagen de la portada. Recomendable.
