SNK NEOGEO Mini Samurai Shodown Limited Edition Bundle: Haohmaru

Awesome selection of games and playing on the small screen is more fun that I thought it would be. The packaging and build quality is top notch. Games look great on the screen, but lose resolution when connected to a bg screen television. With scan lines turned on, it's not as noticible. Controllers included work well and are responsive, but are not clicky like the original. Fun purchase and would definitely buy again.

I read ton of reviews on these systems as I was one of those kids that was born in the 80s and spent countless quarters at my local Pizza Hut trying to beat metal slug. All the reviews give it very middling reviews and let’s be honest here as far as these mini consoles go this guy isn’t cheap. I’m here to say I’m very happy with my purchase.The emulation isn’t the best on the big screen (using on a 60” Vizio 4K) but it’s by far acceptable given the plug and play aspect of it.The controllers feel very premium and I’m very much enjoying my time playing with it the last few hours. The built in controls I don’t bother with because I’m a adult with adult size hands so it’s more of a neat factor in that regard.This set includes 2 controllers and everything you need to get started and that’s why I went ahead and bit the bullet on the special edition. Also, I liked the lineup better cause I was more into samurai showdown then I was king of fighters.All in all, I’m pretty happy with my purchase and I know it comes at a premium price. Yes, there’s the raspberry pie emulation setups out there but the mileage varies and I just want to plug/play and not have to jump through 50 hoops to play a game with the kids that I enjoyed when I was their age. If you’re a neo geo fan and want a no fuss solution I say bite the bullet and treat yo self.

The Neo Geo Mini is by far the best mini console on the market right now. The amount of games and the quality are just amazing.This is the best mini console ever, period.

Great collection of NeoGeo games. Collecting NeoGeo can put a dent in your wallet but this can alleviate that process. The only issue I have is with the controller. The analog stick is very loose so pulling off moves in many of the fighting games can be a little tricky.

Had plans to buy this and hack it like every other classic system i own, but the hack is apparently dead in the water. This was still worth it! You can set the sytem language to english easy enough, the games remain in japanese though. Not a big deal at all. Mine came with an awesome little metal slug no slip pad for it as well, not sure if the image is random but it was a nice little extra. I wouldnt hook it up to anything other than a crt tv if you still have one. It looks a bit off on new tvs but fine on older ones.

I bought this model mainly because Im a huge Samurai Shodown fan and this unit has all of them that appeared on the Neo Geo. Yes everything is mostly in Japanese but if you know these games, then it doesnt matter. Also able to run my Mayflash F500 Elite fight stick on this right out of the box!!!

It was a gift for my son for Christmas he loves it and said it's easy to set up and play

This is the first time I write a negative review for a product. First, when I received the unit, the box was a little damaged in one of the corners, but I was willing to ignore that. After when I started playing, I noticed that sometimes when saving my progress, the unit stopped working at all (As it can be seen in the picture, I got a black screen). I reloaded the unit and the same happened to me several times. I tried another Neo Geo Mini I have and this never happened. Because of this I had to request a refund and buy another unit because Amazon told me that no replacement was available for this product. So I hope that my other new unit doesnt have the same problem. Thanks...01/07/21 UPDATEAfter I received a 3rd unit (The 2nd one had the box damaged worst than the first one, so I returned it too), finally this one arrived in good condition (2nd picture), however, this unit has the same saving bug as the other units (And that's why the 4 stars), so I assume all the units have the same bug, but what I care about at the end is that I received a unit in good condition, after all, is more for displaying than playing...
