A bargain with some useful touches
I actually tested one of the Stedman pop filters before buying this, and was curious whether a filter at less than half the price could do as well.First of all, the Stedman isn't perfect at stopping plosives either; the angled mesh works well if you keep it a reasonable distance from the mic but if it's too close you'll still have the plosives. The puffs of air are dissipated, not stopped, with any kind of single layer mesh filter. The Stedman also has a non-padded "V" mount and a bare screw to mount the device to a mic stand. This will result in scratches or dents on the stand and is not ideal for securing it. The offset bar to which the gooseneck is secured is a nice touch if you need the extra reach; of course, if you're working with a small mic or a desk stand, it might actually be too cumbersome and make the placement of the stand awkward. Be aware.Conversely, the VOX has a nice padded mount and a "spinner" on the end of the screw to prevent scratching. It holds the device securely. The mesh works fine as far as I could tell while testing it - again, keep the filter a reasonable distance from the mic. It does not have a frame around the mesh, resulting in a less polished appearance and of course the danger of snagging on clothing or other apparel. Worth the $35 difference in price? Not to me.

Nice Product
Got this after returning a cloth pop filter that I had bought at Guitar Center. Nothing wrong with the other but I work for an airline and travel all the time. This is a very hearty filter as it is all metal and will not get torn or mangled as the cloth one would have. So far I really like it! And it was less expensive than the cloth one.

Does a good job, but it gets droopy
It does the job of being a pop filter and looks good. The only issues that I've run into are the gooseneck is a bit loose and in certain configurations (horizontal on a PSA1) it tends to droop. If you're doing a vertical setup this is a good pop filter, but if you're wanting to mount it to a horizontal setup I'd keep looking.

AWESOME FILTER
I love this pop filter!!!Doing Radio or VO Work, It's size allows you to be able to see your text or reads without any copy blockage at all. I love the sturdy design as well... and the price rocks (passed up similar products for around $40 more).

Doesn't hold a shape
This is far too expensive and does not hold it's desired shape. I took a video of it failing miserably, I'll try and find a way to post it. I had some high hopes.. but I feel like I just paid for the packaging.

My first metal mesh pop filter. It does exactly ...
My first metal mesh pop filter. It does exactly what it's supposed to do ! I never have to worry about popping the mic when I got this in front of it! It's easier to bend than most other pop filters at this price range, and works perfectly. Wouldn't trade it for any other pop filter in the world.

Good construction - works well
Good construction and works well. The length of the adjustable tubing required some finesse and didn't allow for much play when using with my Sennheiser shotgun mic in a shock mount.
