Worked perfectly to remove a cement stain on my TREX Porch
I bought this because I put a cement planter on our Trex porch. Even though I had a piece of carpeting under the pedestal, it still leached cement onto the Trex. I tried everything to remove it. Then I asked ChatGPT what to use that would be safe on Trex and this item came up. I needed very little. It was just a ring right in the middle of the porch, which was an eyesore; sprayed a little and you could just see it lift it off. It worked perfectly left no residue no staining. There were other brands available at the local hardware store, but it was not recommended to use those brands on Trex. Gotta love chat gpt.

Waste of time and money
The project is to remove mortar from tiles to re-use the tiles. Tiles no longer available, falling off due to poor installation. Bulk of mortar was ground off. Used this product to remove remaining thin layer below the ridging on the back side. Carefully followed directions, used about half a bottle for six pieces. Did not work, even a little. Ended up getting a wire wheel for final clean up the porcelain tiles. May work on concrete, does not work on the mortar used to set tiles.

Vertical areas? I have a trick for you.
When our concrete was laid, the people who laid it got it all over the side of our house. I tried several different things, but nothing removed any of it. When I first got it, I was worried about the siding being painted concrete boards and also with how I was going to make it stay wet on a vertical surface. I did a spot test and saw no issues (although I would be careful if you had non painted/exposed concrete boards). Here is the part that made all the difference. To make sure it stayed wet, I put paper towels on the wall and sprayed it with the solution enough for it to stay up. This was the big difference for us. I kept a hose on the concrete keeping it wet in case it dripped. Some places I had to do again or easy off with the hose nozzle or close hard water pressure, which was to be expected. I am so thankful for this product and glad I was able to figure out a good way to make it work for us. Would strongly suggest. I wish I had pictures because it was a substantial amount of cement on the siding.

The shawshank tunnel!
Here is a different story of how this stuff worked for me. I was installing a new bathroom in the basement of my daughters house. We tore out concrete, installed new plumbing, new sewer, poured the concrete back, and started building the bathroom. During this time we had moved the floor drain, and the best location was in the bathroom corner. This was the drain for the whole basement. We installed a new 2" PVC floor drain with a p-trap and clean out. So the bathroom was all done with new walls and shower. The only thing left to do was install the tile, then we could put in the sink and toilet. Well the concrete was very uneven from the previous floor drain. So the plan was to pour in some self leveling floor leveler first. Then install the tile. I had it all ready to go, and my friend decided to help me out and pour the leveler while I was at work. We'll he didn't cover the new floor drain, and the leveler completely filled the drain and hardened over night. So now I have no drain. I called a few plumbers and they said tear out the concrete and replumb the drain. ..I did not want to do that. I tried to break some of it out but the p-trap was full. I was very frustrated to say the least! Then my friend mentioned concrete dissolver. I was skeptical for sure. I never heard of it. So I sprayed this in the drain and let it sit overnight. When I came back, I took a tool and found the leveler had dissolved about 1/8" . So I tried it again and it seemed to be working. I started to squirt some in the clean out, and then vaccuum it out the next day. Well I knew this would take some time but I wasn't in a hurry. So after a month of spraying and vacuuming, I kept saying this was just like the Shawshank Redemption. A little bit of concrete every day until I tunneled my way through. And yes I got completely through that drain. So this product did work for me. It will dissolve concrete and wash away.

Well, it’s not like the video...
I really, really wanted this to be a five star review. I saw a YouTube video where a guy sprayed this on a metal sheet with concrete splatter, waited about 15minutes and then hosed it down. The concrete started peeling off with minimal effort and a brush of his hand. That’s what I wanted. What I got was this: I sprayed it on, waited about 15 minutes and then I scrubbed and scrubbed. I sprayed again and scrubbed with a nylon brush. I sprayed again and scrubbed some more. Little pieces came of quickly but the bulk of the splatter was still there. I sprayed again (down to half the bottle now) and started scraping with a putty knife. The photo was taken before I went to the putty knife. Here are a few things to know: 1. It comes in a plastic bottle and despite the packing efforts it will leak a little. Packing was as good as can be expected but open your box and package outside when it comes. 2. Wear rubber gloves when you use it. I’m a man and don’t believe in reading instructions. After rubbing it with my unprotected hands for a while, it started to really irritate my skin. Ouch. 3. Read the instructions carefully and follow them. Yes, it’s a “natural” product but it potent. 4. Use it outside or in a well ventilated area so you don’t breath the fumes. 5. It’s not a spray on and hose off product. It takes lots and lots of elbow grease. 6. If concrete is on a painted surface, it WILL remove the paint as well as the concrete. 7. It worked...sort of. It’s better than scraping dry concrete off with a chisel. All in all I wasn’t disappointed but I wasn’t enamored. Maybe I dint get what I expected because my surface was painted. Maybe I didn’t act soon enough after the splatter got on the door to get it off. (It happened about a month and a half ago). Maybe I just had unreal expectations. In any case, I’d use it again but I will be prepared for some hard work.

WORKED AS DESCRIBED - Sakrete Concrete Dissolver
I've used this product twice since purchasing and it has worked easily and saved me money. I'll preface that I am a hobbyist, but concrete is concrete and concrete doesn't care who you ate. I make scales bricks for figures/dolls/collectibles and I accidentally left the bricks in too long, so had some cleanup. 1st pic = the product 2nd pic = the before dirty 3rd pic = the first round of cleaning 4th pic = the final result after touch-up TIPS - Read the instructions. Don't let the solution dry up or evaporate cause it's only going to harden. I spray, wait, and start cleaning. Midway, I spray the remaining again to make certain it stays moist/wet. Also, I don't spray with water. With gloved (nitrile) hands, I squish and rub the dissolved solution around to break it all up more. It will feel a bit like clay. THEN HOSE IT DOWN while continuing to work it with your fingers. Once again READ INSTRUCTIONS. After you rinse, let it FULLY DRY before you do a second round. I've used this on silicone and stainless steel with no issues. I LOVE this product! Thank, Sakrete!

Concrete on Car
Took the concrete off my car door in 2 rounds of dissolving and simply washed off the dissolver at the car wash. Didn't damage my paint and looks like it never happened. I couldn't recommend this product more.

Works on Autos, but not painted garage doors or siding
Product description states it works on painted garage doors and houses. No it did not and I followed the directions exactly . I even applied it a second time . (Dried concreter splatter from a pour a month ago) I did have success with the splatter on my car’s paint so I gave it 2 stars .
