I purchased this to use with my Tivo Stream 4k, which I later replaced with an Nvidia Shield (more on that later).First,WHAT I LIKE:-Keyboard/trackpad and gamepad all in one-USB Dongle (BT connections just can't compare to USB dongled devices)-Compatibility. This works with any device that can take input from a keyboard, mouse, or gamepad.WHAT COULD BE IMPROVED:-I'd love to see a place to store the USB Dongle. Something like this is handy to keep in my backpack, but USB dongles are easy to lose. I love it when a device has a place to store the USB Dongle in it.-Keyboard responsiveness.MY REVIEW:This will work with pretty much any device you can plug a USB dongle into, but I think it comes in most handy when being used with an Android TV box, especially if you already wish you had a keyboard.Alot of Android TV apps have made pairing the TV app with your account fairly simple, but not all.Some still require you to enter a login and password, so that makes the keyboard a must have.Beyond that, if you're like me, and access media from various location on your network, often requiring credentials, and entering IP addresses, then just go ahead and buy this right now.The first time you have to enter credentials with this, you'll be satisfied you purchased it.The gamepad, is very responsive. The ergonomics are good, considering what it offers, and does this while trying to remain compact, and the fact that there's an entire keyboard on the other size.There are many of these devices and you'll notice most of them don't exceed 4 stars.Don't let that hold you back like It did me for awhile before I finally "splurged" on this one.When you use it, you can see why no one really raves about these devices, but at the same time, you're so glad you got it.No, it's not as good as typing with a real keyboard, but a real keyboard is huge by comparison, and any decent keyboard is going to cost twice this device. You may sometimes find yourself having to retype a key, but it's still waaaaay faster than pushing arrow keys multiple times on an AndroidTV remote to get to each letter.No, it's not as good as a PS or XBX controller, but it's half the price, and has a full keyboard on the other side.For under $30, to have all of this functionality, that's small enough to be stored with your TV remotes, but capable enough to type, and game, that's a bargain.There's a part of me that wonders what if the manufacturer decided to make a premium version of this? What could they do with say, double the budget?Something important to note:This will work as a keyboard, AND a gamepad on ALL Android TV devices . . . except Nvidia Shield.On the Shield, you can ONLY use the keyboard.If you switch over to the gamepad function, it will not work, unless you choose to use Bluetooth, which is not ideal for low latency.This is NOT the manufacturer's fault, as I've tried other USB dongled controllers, including an official XBX controller, and none of them would work with the Shield.This is by design since Nvidia wants you to use their shield controller, not your own.Lastly, my seller was BoomTek and I wanted to shout out because I lost my USB dongle last month and they sent me another one and even told me how to pair my device to the new dongle. Great customer support.

I really wanted to give this thing 5 stars. in the end, there just too many little quirks to justify 5 stars.However, what it does, it generally does very well. For a raspberry pi (or one of the many functional clones), especially running retropi, or for an HTPC, this would be a great addition. the most telling proof is that on my laptop, with both the built-in keyboard and a cheap Logitech wireless, I am choosing this device to write this review. that was almost enough to push me into giving it 5 stars.One thing the Rii does *really well* is manage battery life. Though I wish the backlight stayed on longer (or was adjustable beyond "on" and "off"), I've had mine for over a week, I purposefully did *not* charge it fully when I received it, and it is still going strong.The quirks: In a typical review, you'll find sections like "the good" and "the bad", but in all honesty, this device doesn't really have any outright "bad" qualities. everything that I don't care for, has some fairly easy workaround.* there is no right-shift. this makes normal typing cumbersome. However, sticky keys is pretty simple to enable. I really wish it was enabled *on the device*, though, because when switching keyboards to a full-size keyboard you have to remember to turn it off* the "red"/"function" keycaps appear to have been applied over the top of the black parts of the keys. in normal light, this isn't a problem, but one of the points of a backlit keyboard is to be able to use it in dark conditions. since several important keys are "red" (all of the F-keys, single quote/apostrophe, double quote) it limits the usefulness unless you memorize the key locations. Many of the key locations are somewhat sensible, but there are more than a few that are pretty arbitrary.* switching modes is a bit of a pain. when switching from the mouse/keyboard side to the joystick, many programs only look for a connected joystick startup. so you can't launch the program, then switch and expect the joystick to work. some programs are fine, but others are not. The little USB adapter they give you should be able to present the joystick mode regardless, so your computer can detect the joystick. This isn't terrible, but it is definitely annoying, and it makes this far less useful than it could be. if you have to have a separate mouse or keyboard, what's the point?* the joystick maps don't always match. For example, with the joystick in "red" (x-input mode, according to the manual) mode, the joystick is recognized as an "Xbox 360 controller" Unfortunately, a "left thumb button" press results in your game seeing a "right thumb button" press. Pressing the right thumb button yields "button 13". pressing "Y" yields "black". this means that the default mappings for most games will have to be adjusted. not a huge deal, unless you have to adjust 500 games, but yet another minor annoyance.So, why do I suggest it's a perfect Pi accessory if I had problems? because none of the problems I had were deal-breakers, for my use case. I think it's helpful to know some of these things going in, but none of them make me regret my purchase. I'm considering buying another one to see if my computer can distinguish between them and because I have 2 OrangePi devices in need of keyboards.

I have been looking for a joystick for my retro emulation station on a windows 11 mini PC. I wanted something that has a keyboard and mouse as well for occasional logging into the windows PC and running retrobat. So I started looking and I found something way above that. For a $28 price point, I thought this was a good buy. Still did not have high hopes as I have found these similar Chinese made controllers and keyboard/mouse devices to be janky. Once I recveived the parcel, I opened it and again did not expect much looking at the box. Looked like another one of those devices. But as soon as I got it out, I felt the build quality was rather nice. Felt way more sturdy and heavier than similar handheld keyboards. The keys are rubber but not the squishy type. More like harder plasticky rubber.So I first tried it on my mini PC and the keyboard mouse worked fine. Keys were considerably better than similar devices I had before. You can switch between keyboard and joystick with a flick of a switch. So next I tried retrobat and wit worked fine too with my configured controls of X Input (Xbox controller input). The joystick has 3 modes. X Input, D Input and PS3. All buttns worked fine. Turbo button works but instructions are a little confusing. I hardly use Turbo buttons but for anyone who does, it works.Then I tried it on plethora of systems. Xbox SX, PS3, Linux Mint, Batocera, Android TV, Android Mobile, iPhone, iPad..... they all worked perfectly.There is one retro console that has trash compatibility to controllers and that is The C64 mini. It comes with the worst controller of all time and that too with a short wire! Just for S***s and giggles, I tried it with a D input. Nothing worked.... Now, the only known wireless controller that works with it is Logitech F170 but I dont like it because it requires batteries and of course there is no keyboard/mouse. So after D Input, I tried the keyboard on C64 mini and it worked perfect!!! So that got me thinking that the C64 is receiving inputs fine.... so why not joystick? I switched the Joystick mode to PS3 and............It works!!! I can map the buttons later using C64's cjm file but for now, X is fire. Y is Button4, B is Button3 and A is Button1. Right trigger is right triangle.I cannot believe it works so well on a C64 mini. The best part is I can switch between joystick and Keyboard which is essential for many of C64 games! No more fiddling around in game with a virtual keyboard!

The controller side works great, it's not the most comfortable thing but stores super easy for traveling. The keyboard side drops out pretty frequently making a difficult to use especially when not in direct line of sight of the dongle. Even with direct line of sight it cuts out when you try to use the mouse. It's a cool product just not quite there all the way.

Everything worked extremely well. I don't expect anything to not have any hiccups and so far the one hiccup I've come across about 3 times is one button will not work. Very quick fix is turning it off and back on again. 2 seconds to fix. It reconnects that fast.I've played Fortnite, Sonic Mania, Shock Troopers, Kingdom of Amalur, Marvel Snap, Metal Unit (actual game name I know lol), Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon, Genshin Impact, and Metal Slug 3 with this controller. Input lag is pretty much nonexistent. Keyboard is near flawless. Small trackpad, but it crammed everything in this size very well. Trackpad works very well no issues besides normal trackpad flaws like accidental taps.My issue is comfort with the ergonomics. I wish there was an option somewhere on the site page to buy a controller grip. When holding it you can feel like palm rests would be a good option if someone wanted it. Controller grip with a bit of weight to it. For extended use with the device you begin to feel a bit of fatigue in the hands only because your hands aren't resting as much with the device. Just a controller grip that slots and locks the controller in place, but a good size palm rest that is flat that you can still flip over to use the keyboard.OR make a pro version of this controller with grips built in. $40-$50 is still worth it more than an actual Xbox controller cause there's a keyboard built into this one. Adding weight to this device as well would make it feel more premium than cheap. Not that it really feels cheap. It's much lighter than expected everytime I pick it up. Get Xbox to endorse it ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) That'll be a darn good controller alternative for the Xbox & PC. Rii 2 RK Pro Controller ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) I'll be sniffin around to see if you all make another one or for someone else to make one. Open market is out there.

I bought this to combine the keyboard and controller with Mister FPGA, but it has issues. The fist one is the Keyboard and Controller conflict with each other, so after you have set the controller up in the main core, then when you then use the keyboard to navigate to a game core, when you want to define the controller in the game it will not let you. The second issue is the reset key combination does not work. The third issue is every-time you go from Keyboard to controller you have to slide a mode switch which I feel would not last very long (So if the controller did work, you would then to load a game turn over the controller, change mode switch, press Function and F12, then when game is selected, move mode switch, and flip the controller again). Also, non of the games I tried when using a separate PC keyboard would allow use of the analog sticks where a PS4 controller would.The controller is not bad quality, but if you want this for fighting games it is hard to pull off the moves with the mediocre D-Pad. The keyboard is rubbery with tack-tile click switches which while not great are not bad for the size. The trackpad allows double tap so if you want something compact to navigate an Amiga or ST it works; I would not do much typing though.Oh and finally, it does not have a place to store the tiny dongle on it.

Perfect controller for my home theater!I use SteamOS for my home theater, and it's perfect for navigating the menu with the controller, and if I need to enter text I just flip it over and type away, connects fine.The store images are a bit outdated, this device comes with an updated USB C port for charging, which was a nice surprise.It's bigger than you would think, about the same size as a ps4 controller without the handles. It's comfortable and light as well.

Before I get into my rant about this product, I own several RII products. They are either okay to pretty dang good. This remote I really wanted to love. It was pretty cool all the features it should’ve been able to do. It just completely failed my humble expectation of working as advertised. That said, I was pretty excited to get this device for travel. I travel a lot and space in my bag comes at a premium. So a wireless touchpad keyboard and gamepad all in one filled a lot of roles. However, a Swiss Army knife does a lot of things but I can’t think of anything a Swiss Army knife can do better than the actual tool. This remote is similar except it doesn’t do the gamepad role at all. The touchpad works, then it doesn’t, then it does, etc. back and forth. The keyboard is okay. I could forgive a lot if it would quit disconnecting and going to sleep like it fell into a coma. Seems whenever I need it to work I have to cycle power then button mash. Then if I’m lucky the touch pad will also work. It’s a great concept just so poorly executed. I hope this is a one off and not the norm with their new products cause this thing sucks. I am so frustrated with this thing. I mean I’m over it. I spent better money in gumball machines. I once lost a $20 dollar bill and that was spent better. I don’t even want to waste my time sending it back for a refund. I am half tempted to throw it in the trash. But I don’t want it to waste anyone else’s time and money at this point driving it to a landfill. The only thing this device could do well was raise my blood pressure and aid in word smithing new curse words. Do better RII. I would be ashamed to be associated with this trash. I would distance myself from this product like Tim Curry distanced himself from The Rocky Horror picture show because it’s not worth the paper it was wrapped in. And another thing, why, if I leave the dongle in and try to boot up does it hang on the bios? Like my pc is trying to boot from a drive or something. Why? None of my Logitech or razer stuff does this. Even my cheap but good portable keyboard doesn’t do it. In the end I have lost a lot of faith in RII products because of this pile.Update - I tore the whole controller apart checked for loose connection on solder joints or any cold solder joints or faulty traces or reseat all connections. To be fair I really didn’t find anything that seemed horrible wrong just that one of the connectors seemed half seated, so I reseated it. Seems this helped a lot. Now the device is much better. I still have the bios hanging on boot up but it’s easy enough to pull out and reinsert the dongle once windows starts. Touchpad is still subpar but works. I hate the sleep function. However, this feature is easily overcome by recycling power. I was going to raise my rating but after having to QA/QC the remote BUT I had to do it. This should’ve been done at the factory. Thus my rating is staying put. If you experience any of the same issues you may not need to re-solder any connection pads or fix any traces. Try opening the case and see if anything is hanging up or look for any bent pins or partially inserted connectors. Carefully separate the top from the bottom as there are connectors that give a little but not much. Also be aware of the power switch slider knob. That thing falls out easily. If you have my luck, you’ll spend more time searching for it than actually fixing the dang controller. Anyway it’s not a great replacement but it’s okay in a pinch when it works.

-Priced relatively high considered it is made of plastic, and does not include a protective bag.-Scrolling using the touchpad is very terrible, it made the whole thing not usable for me. And is counter intuitive.-No place to house the USB Reciever, which makes it get easily lost, and has a werid blue color.-Alot of gimmicky/useless keys like the turbo button, alternatively there are some missing important keys.

Lo recomiendo ampliamente. Funciona perfectamente con Linux y raspberry.

Good quality

Good : Surprisingly good 2.4Ghz wireless dongle controller, not an XBOX elite, but good for those who do not have massive hands. Very portable for a reasonable controller. Keyboard is better then most "controller" types. Latency seems low. I REALLY like the semi-recessed analogue sticks !Bad : trackpad is fairly useless. Dongle does not have an internal stow, odd for a Rii devices, my other one do. No fancy stuff like "air mouse" or vibration. Not USB-C. Not Bluetooth.Other : The D-Pad will definitely be a matter of taste - is like a mini joystick with a dpad hat rather then 4 directional buttons with a cap on top. I like it ! You have to flip the controller to swap from kb to controller AND use a switch - its one or the other.I use mine for FPGA/Pi retro gaming and with an Amazon Fire via a "mobile phone hub" - perfect for that.
