The Wrong Number (Fear Street Book 5)

I was thrilled to find the old Fear Street books online for such a low price, especially with the original cover art. I bought this as a nostalgia gift for a friend. When the books came, they were brand new, but they look like someone just scanned in old copies of the books and had them reprinted cheaply. All of the original content is included, and the binding seems good enough, but it would have been nice to know that this was not an authentic copy. My friend still liked the gift, and we had a good laugh, but they really need to be up front about the fact that this is an un-official reproduction.

The book is amazing

I expected a bit more kills but overall it was a great teen detective bookThe ending almost had me thinking that theBad guy was gonna get away with it. However it ended in a happy note.

R.L. Stines does it again. Each book he writes gets better and better i am a long time fan of his starting with Goosebumps. This is for more of a teen reader then a little kid. I liked the story and characters they felt like teens in a small town with nothing to do so they have to entertain themselves. I wont ruin it for you but these kids make the wrong call and the wrong time and now have to deal with the crazy aftermath that leaves you wanting more.

Some fun action and suspense but too many cliches and not enough mystery in this one. Teens make dumb decisions but these were just outright ridiculous, as was "The cops will never believe us" storyline.

Oh Nostalgia.Of course I didn't find this book nearly as fascinating as I did when I was a tween, but that probably has a lot to do with the change of times as well as my change in age.It was quirky getting to read about the joys of life before caller ID. Since this book was first published in 1990 our characters are enthralled by a housephone that actually allows you to program speed dial numbers!Aside from that and a bit of dated language, I still think the book would be a pretty fun read for a youngin' especially if they're into mysteries.Truthfully, though, the story fell a bit flat and was completely unlikely without the joy of being paranormal. The Police officers were infuriating and these teen girls (17 or so) read like 12 year olds, which is probably why it still appealed so much to me before I was a full-fledged teen reader.I'd say that for a series directed at tweens/teens Fear Street is still a contender for a mystery series despite some of its dated content.

I was looking for this film for a long time. Very good purchase. Matched perfectly my expectations. Arrived on time

This book was pretty good. I decided to take a chance and get the 2nd one as well. I kind of want to see what surprises Mr Stein has instore for his heros.

I think this is a great book because of its adventures and it has many feeling in it. which I think is great.this book is for people that enjoy reading horror stories or movies as well. it is interesting for english readers as well for intermediate english speakers. I guess they understand the book as well. the book is better if you have a kindle that is what I suggest. have fun reading it and enjoy it but one more tip read it at daytime other wise it will be to scary well for me it was!! :) ;)

One of the best works of R.L. Stine

Super tolles Buch ! Spannend und fesselnd wie immer - RL Stine ist einfach ein toller Schriftsteller. Dieses Buch bringt mich wieder einmal dazu weitere Bücher von ihm zu lesen!
