Wanda Jackson's Rockin' With Wanda! from Capitol Records Nashville's storied catalog reissued on 180-gram vinyl. The album has been mastered for vinyl by Ron McMaster at Capitol Mastering and is packaged in true-to-original LP sleeves with restored artwork.Released in 1960, fellow Oklahoman Wanda Jackson's Rockin' With Wanda! is still considered to be the finest collection of the Queen of Rockabilly's signature singles from the mid to late 1950s, including Jackson's inviting, high-energy take on "Let's Have a Party," which peaked at #37 on the Billboard Hot 100, and "I Gotta Know," which hit #15 on Billboard's Country Singles chart.

Rockin' Wanda Jackson!
Wanda Jackson is probably best known for her years as a popular, conventional country music singer but she has an international cult following for her work in the early days of rock n' roll when she simply had no peers among female vocalists in her ability to rock out. The somewhat cutesy cover of the 1960 album gives no real clue of scorching vocals contained herein where Ms. J tears into originals like the unforgettable FUJIYAMA MAMA and the anthem-like ROCK YOUR BABY. She complains about her MEAN MEAN MAN (a truly sizzling rocker) and enjoys testing her guy in HOT DOG! THAT MADE HIM MAD. Although a few of the tracks are conventional (and great) country songs and/or ballads, Wanda also deftly combines the two secular genres she loves the most in I GOTTA KNOW which switches the beat from rock verses to country chorus. This bargain-priced CD is an essential for any rockabilly/early rock n'roll/classic country music collection. Today, fifty years later, 73-year-young Wanda can still rock with the best of them and thanks to a new album with Jack White, THE PARTY AIN'T OVER, may be in for the biggest year yet of her career.

Rockin with Wanda
For the extraordinarily low price of $6.99 you can get 18 rockabilly gems from Wanda Jackson. This is a great deal. This music is timeless. I realize that Patsy Cline was great, but why isn't Wanda mentioned in the same sentences with her? This is classic music that has a real passion to it, good energy, fun to sing along to and dance to.

Queen of Rockabilly
Another very good collection of Wanda Jackson, the first real female rockabilly singer. She could really do it all in the 1950-60's on concert.

Rockin' with Wanda
Very good music. It did arrive with a cracked jewel case, but otherwise it is great! She's like Elvis, only female and not as popular, but she's still alive and performing!

Thankyou Wanda for all of the wonders you brought to todays Rock N Roll Music.
Wanda Jackson is one of the first young women to create a place where women could really be equal with young men singingvery high and low ballads and rough and raw rock n roll as good as their male counterparts which started up in the early daysof rock n roll in the early 1950's and continues up until the days of now 2013You have to listen and understand what Wandahas done to bring in young rock n rollers for todays generation of young people coming into and enjoying the early days of how rock n roll began with the wonderful voices of Brenda lee and the likes.

Excellent!
