Kikkerland Big Wheel Hour Wall Clock, Black

I Love the look of the clock. I used to be a mechanic in the Navy, I own fast cars and street bikes, I moutain bike and have taken up cycling as another hobby so the gear design of this clock is perfect for my man cave. Not that most of you would care, but that is a big factor of my rating.Functionality, it tells the time and it tells it quite clearly. Each hash mark is 15 minutes and those are the only ones that really count. I've had it up on my wall for two weeks now and the time is still accurate.Why you might not like it:It's loud. It's not a clicking clock, but you can hear the motor turning away. In a quiet room this might be troublesome, but it's in my man cave, I'm watching movies, playing games, and listening to music, so it doesn't bother me.It's plastic. I wish it was some form of alloy, but it's not. This thing will break if handled too much. Put it on the wall and just forget about it.You can clearly see the lines where the numbered gear is put together. Upon assembly you have to snap several pieces (4?) of the big gear with the numbers together. Where those pieces meet you can see the line it forms.If not installed onto the wall completely flat against the wall the big gear will get stuck on one of the pieces behind it. This will burn out the motor if left in the stuck state. Luckily I was still admiring it when I noticed this issue. I reinstalled on my wall and monitored it closely over the next few hours. All good.So many negatives, but I still love it. Like I said, put it on the wall and forget about it. Looks great in my man cave and it's perfect for my character.

I’m a sucker for cool unusual clocks. This fit the bill. Looks good on the wall. Wouid be great for gifts

The media could not be loaded. Clock looks great, is easy to put together and mount on the wall. It is not made for high resolution time telling but can be read within 1-2 mins of the actual time. It looks awesome, all the gears move!, and is simple to readjust. The clock I received had a low “squeaking” sound but I easily fixed that with a qtip and some 3in1 oil on the shafts that made contact with the metal plate. The clock requires 2 D cell batteries that the instructions say to change every 6 months. Does not come with batteries. Very unique and easy to read from a distance. All in all I am very happy.

Awesome good looks for a little something to add to the Decor. Looked like aluminum in the Store so I search Amazon.com and it was half the price. But it is Plastic, didn't think about the material it was made of, assumed it was metal. A mechanical wonder. Batteries NOT Included, get 2 D Batteries for assembly. A very light gear noise so be aware if you need complete silence for a bedroom. Oh well still a neat clock for my office. **** for the Cool Factor! BatmanDSM

What a unique and cool clock! It is a lot bigger than I thought it would be so I had to hang it in a different location but I really like it. I have had this clock for nearly a year now and it keeps accurate time. I have not had to change the batteries. It does occasionally make a little noise when one of the four mating seams in the outer ring are passing over the timing gear but that only happens every three hours and I don't notice it unless I am sitting right next to it and the room is completely silent. There is a pressure spring behind the timing gear which came out of it's groove in the timing shaft once so the clock quit working. It was easy to put back into the groove and everything works fine again. I'd say it was a fluke. This is a great decorative clock and I am very happy with it

Warranty support at Kikkerland was initially friendly and took my call politely saying it would be sorted. Then called me back a day later saying it was sold on a "3rd party site" and they cannot support the 90 day warranty unless it's sold on the Kikkerland website. But Kikkerland was the seller on Amazon... How is that 3rd party?The clock is pretty. It is unique. But it is plastic and all the gears are plastic. Every hour at both 47 and 49 after the hour, the clock "clicks" and the large dial rocks as the clock motor gears slip. It eventually moves on after a few seconds of clicking and carries on - but the slippage each hour adds up to making it loose time - not to mention being loud and annoying once per hour.I'm just outside the Amazon 30 day return window but still inside the supposed manufactures 90 day warranty period. If Amazon or the Manufacturer are monitoring comments, please help. Expensive clock to toss away after 60 days.Buyer beware.

We like this clock. It's a bit of a conversation piece with visitor. The time is accurate enough.

Our guests comment on this clock and like figuring out how to read it. It is unique and looks nice in our family room.
