I have had a few backup cameras on different vehicles but this is the first wireless backup camera I've used. I have to say I was quite surprised to find how easy it was to install. The wireless picture is crystal clear and I had no interference, once I plugged the wires in the camera came on instantly. The camera and screen comes well packaged and you get a bunch of accessories so that you can customize your installation. For example, you get both a cigarette lighter power sources and a hardwire power source so that you can either have a permanent installation or something that can be easily removed from your car for safe keeping. The cigarette lighter power source has a button so that you can independently turn the screen on and off easily. Not having to run wires through the car was a huge time saver. I probably spent 30 minutes getting the camera installed. The other thing I liked is that they give you a few different mounting options including a sticky suction cup that magnetically attaches to the screen. The backup camera license plate bracket is heavy duty metal, it weights 1.3 lbs and it also comes with mounting hardware for attaching your license place. Included in the box is a small allen key that you can use to screw down the angle of the camera once you find the best viewing angle. On the screen you can turn guidance lines on and off, adjust contrast and brightness, and you can rotate and flip the camera orientation. Over all I am very happy with this purchase.

Works fine. The license frame was much better than I expected. It's metal, not plastic. Camera seems to be good as does the monitor. Super easy to install and plenty of extra parts for just about every application.It's mounted in a full size Ford F-150 and a larger monitor would have been better, but for a car or small pickup with limited space it's probably about right.Several things to consider:(1) the grid lines remain on the monitor when the camera is off and is a little distracting especially at night. To solve this you either have to turn off the gridlines or the monitor when not in use.(2) pickups with a recessed license plate to accommodate a trailer ball are going to have limited peripheral vision and large blind spots on the corners of the truck. No fault of the product, just the design of the bumper.

Installed this today on our 2006 Solara convertible. EZ to install. Hooked it up to the black & white reverse light wire in Solara's trunk. Tucked the monitor into the little console cubbyhole just ahead of the shifter. Popped on immediately. Image brightness is adjustable and is acceptable.Terrible instructions...almost nil. You can select the gridlines to be ON or OFF -BUT- .unfortunately, the gridlines are super bright and, if selected, they stay on ALL of the time, even when the camera is not energized with no image. So, I turned them off. The best thing in this kit is the really slick license plate frame and camera. Beefy!The monitor- with its klunky, old-fashioned big external antenna- could certainly be improved. Another offering on Amazon has no such ugly antenna, yet works great. I installed that other one on my 2008 Sequoia and it works and looks excellent. Still, gridline snafu notwithstanding, this is an excellent unit.

Hello! I installed this camera at the front license plate location on my Jeep. The camera body was tilted slightly downward to aid my view of the trail while off-roading, especially when cresting a steep hill. Not knowing what is on the other side of crest [down curve left, down curve right or in between] would otherwise require the driver or spotter to exit the vehicle and survey the situation. -- Now I can do that myself from the comfort of the drivers seat! The packaging of the camera and monitor was excellent and the construction of the license plate frame and camera being metal and not plastic was a big plus. The unit functioned perfectly from the start and I found I can control the mirror/normal view and grid line functions from the monitor! Contrast and brightness functions on the monitor were very helpful in customizing the display. Being wireless, the unit is a breeze to install. I highly recommend this camera to anyone!

This product works great except during and after rainy days. Camera itself is NOT waterproof, so it's fogged up and unclear what's behind. I am so sure it will be rusted and unuseable in the near the future. Unfortunate.

A long time after hitting a tree with my pickup, I decided now no more neck turning.Opening the box and examining the components, I was pleasantly surprised by the good workmanship.The installation was simple, 1. mount the license plate, 2. connect the 2 wires to the rear light, 3. find a suitable place for the display and 3. adjust the camera by turning the bracket and secure desired position with screw.The display quality is as good as in our other car with factory fitted camera.The picture taken was under difficult light condition (sunset in the background). Some reviewers complained on other brands, that in sunlight the picture was too light. This is not the case with this product. I would recommend this product strongly. Your money is well spend.

Product is good and relatively easy to install.Problem was it didn’t come with an antenna! I notified the seller and they sent me an antenna but it’s not what should have been in the box. It’s 10-12” long and basically not practical for that small of a monitor! Without an antenna chances of getting signal is 50/50. 0 chance in rain.
