Love it! Bladeless Travel Companion! (Get the Bit Set for it!)
I think Gerber came out with a great product here! I will say upfront, there is only two things they could improve: First, the removable saw blade is great, but why not add a removable knife? Second, why are the pliers not spring-loaded? It is not a deal breaker, but it would be an easy and cheap upgrade for Gerber. Now, let's take a better look at this MP600 Bladeless Multitool. The way I see it, it is Gerber quality, quality they are known for and a well executed product. Ever since I bought this tool, which measures about 4.5 inches, it is an EDC (everyday carry) item. I usually carry it in my left front pocket of my pants and it sits there very well. The needle nose pliers are just great, the tip is very precise. I love that the cutters are replaceable, which is one thing I always hated about many Leatherman products. All the different tools feel high quality. There is a file, several flathead screwdrivers, a bottle opener, quality scissors (which I love and which function great!), a can opener (I actually use it more than my kitchen tool with the crank), a phillipshead and the removable saw blade. I also own the Gerber Tool Kit Bit Set, which adds an adapter to the phillipshead which converts it to a hex-bit driver compatible arm. This again IMO beats Leatherman's proprietary bit sets that do not feel as functional as these hex-bits to me.One thing I am not crazy about is that the locks (btw - every tool locks into place when you open it. Isn't that great?) are plastic. No biggie, I just love full-metal gear.My overall rating looks like this:Quality: 2/2Design: 1/1Function: 1/1Price-performance ratio: 1/1Final rating: 5/5 stars

Best MP600 ever (for no-knife-policy environments)
I've been a big fan of the MP600's platform, and this model is no exception to my feelings. Liking that although is marketed as a needle-nose, it is not as thin/"pointed" as the regular (non removable, casted in cutter) head kind of an in-between blunt and needle nose heads. Having read about the "exploding" cutters, I've found that I can use the cutters to "notch in" the hard wire and then bend with the pliers to cut it; has work really well for at least my last 25 cuts (garden work; bicycle jobs). One feature I like of the design versus Leatherman's, is that if the cutters "chew and bend" a wire, I'm still able to pull apart the handles and free the wire ( with my Waves, Revs, and PSTII I'll need a tool to separate the pliers jaws as the handle would buckle; and yes, plural!).There are still a great variety of u shank for the exchanger, and I carry a couple within the tool's sheath mostly for metal and wood, with varying lengths. The scissors have been great also, and are relatively comfortable to use. And, since I complemented it with the Leatherman Removable Bit Driver Kit (fits perfectly) and my homemade awl bit, I have the perfect set to tackle any errands at work (both are no-knife-policy environments: school based, and outpatient clinic; I'm an occupational therapist).A very solid tool!2-month reviewAfter two months of almost daily use, I've managed to chip one of the cutters; as I tried to remove a finishing nail, the pliers twisted and closed, and the distal end of the cutters (the one closer to the bolt/nut jaws) hit each other with the aforementioned result. Still a 5-star for the tool, as it works as it should. Ordered a replacement cutters set, as I can only guess when the chipped cutter will finally breaks. Hope someone would sell replacement cutters out of tool steel or even stainless steel like the Leatherman's, which would still work even if nicked and easily fixed to working condition with a file ( not to mention that it'll be three-sided!).

Great tool
I fell in love with the standard version of this tool but I sometimes go in to correctional facilities so I bought this one. Everything about it is great except the saw. It will work but not great. You can replace it woth certain jigsaw blade. I also recommend getting a kydex sheath for it
