A good extinguisher, large but very sturdy
This is a good size fire extinguisher. I have two of them, one on the top floor and the other in the family room. I've never had the misfortune to use one of them in the house, and hope I never do, because the chemical in all fire extinguishers create a mess you can't imagine.

This is good for me
What can I say? I trust the Firs Alert name; and I needed a new fire extinguisher in the house. This is good for me.

Just what I wanted.
Bigger and heavier than I thought it would be. It's perfect for my house.

Safety first!
Purchased as a gift for my mother's new wood burning stove in the garage. You can never be too safe!

Haven't used it yet . . .
Its nice to know we have a fire extinguisher handy in case anything happens. We'll haven't needed it yet but I'd recommend it for anyone.

Good for home use.
This is a fairly well made fire extinguisher. If you are buying one for your home, I would recommend it. However, fire extinguishers for businesses and commercial use are required by fire codes to have periodic maintenence which requires them to be discharged, taken apart and re-pressurized. This brand of extinguisher does not stand up well to this process. Therefore, I would only recommend it if it is going to be in your home where it will only be discharged if you actually have a fire. If you are looking for a fire extinguisher for your business, the highest quality and most durable extinguishers are made by Amerex and Sentry.

Poor package design
I would give this three or more stars had the package been designed with a little more consideration of the consumers. Let's say this--the extinguisher itself meets the standards of general fire code--nothing revolutionary. The package, however, doesn't say anything about mounting hardware being included. I couldn't find 'fire extinguisher mounting hardware' (specifically for fire extinguishers) in my local store, so I just went for it. Got back to the office and there is indeed a bracket inside the box for hanging the extinguisher. Unfortunately, there is no bolt/screw. Nothing outside of the box informs the customer of this. The enclosed instructions state, "since wall surface types vary, mounting screws are not included." Makes sense, but it would have been nice to have known this while I was still at the store! C'mon guys! If you're not going to include the required parts, let us know so we can buy them at the original point of purchase. Don't try to conceal it so you don't seem cheap for not giving us screws. Now I have to waste $$$ and time going BACK to the store to find them.
