Crocus Gourmet,Premium Quality 100% Pure Red Saffron Threads, 3 Grams.

I have used the grocery store offerings for years before purchasing this from Crocus Gourmet. The difference between the grocery store and this is remarkable! For starters, this is less expensive. Second, all of the saffron threads were bright red whereas the ones in the grocery store and not all red and those that were weren't as bright red. Finally, these saffron threads seem to have far more flavor - to the point of me using less and thereby saving even more money.The seller followed up within a week to make certain that I was fully satisfied. Of course I was! I will recommend this to all of my "gourmet cook" friends.

Excellent product and certainly an excellent price. The saffron is very fresh and came packaged in a small plastic bag inside a tin for proper storage. Shortly after I ordered the saffron, I received an email from the company assuring me that if I wasn't fully satisfied to contact them so I get the distinct impression they are very interested in their customer base. Hard to find these days. So if you're in the market for lovely saffron threads, look no further.

We haven't had much experience with saffron, in fact this was the first we've bought in years. That said, we decided that a good test for us would be simple plain saffron rice. Again, we're no experts but the flavor was, while very subtle, also very nice. Kind of a buttery undertone. We liked it.

I love Saffron, and thes threads had a deep color, and great flavor. I have bought others, and when opening then, after getting them home, found that they had paled in color, and lost some flavor.

Smells amazing! have not tried yet, but looking forward to making a big pot of Moroccan Harira soon. The aroma tells me this is decent saffron..

Saffron is a new spice for me and my only experience has been one batch of paella with old saffron. I am anxious to try this new purchase. I purchased this product based on reviews. I did take a small pinch and place it in warm water. The water turned a bright yellow and the strands stayed red. The smell was like fresh hay. My first batch of paella with this product is this weekend, I will let you know.
