i had it for about 6 week and it starting to break down, maybe because i soak in warm water in the shower, anyone know the answer?

I've had mine for over a year and have had no breakdown whatsoever. I do make sure to put it under the running water (usually hot, in the shower) and let it soak for a few minutes before using. Also i make sure I rinse thoroughly and gently squeeze out excess water. I then make sure it's in a place where it can air dry.

Does it hold bacteria?

Actually no it doesn't it stays fairly clean and fresh until it rips apart from use
