Waste of money, plug barely fit in rear. After a bit of force it finally showed a blinking green light. Put radio on the charging unit and confirm, it was not charging. Removed battery, tested with just battery. Same, nothing nada kaput. Total waste, should have known.

While the unit appears to be charging the VX-7R, the "ORANGE CHARGE/GREEN FULL" LED indication do not function as advertised. The drop in connection to the radio feels loose and may be intermittent.

Unlike the original factory version, this one is easy to insert into the radio and, once charged, works as designed. Buying another as a back-up

Easy to put the radio in to charge. Only problem the light turns off when it's finished charging. Makes you wonder did it charge all the way?

I bought this to replace a Standard Horizon CD-25......and it worked!! It doesn’t have the GPS connection but I never used that anyway. I use it to charge my HX471S.

When I received this item it didn't work. I got out the multi meter and found that the power supply was putting out nothing, zero volts. I went through the replacement rigmarole and the vendor never even bothered to answer. NEVER AGAIN.

VX-7R doesn’t charge after market battery correctly. This gives them a full charge.

The charger works flawlessly with my VX-6R. A less expensive choice than original from Yaesu.
