Jacquard Pre-Reduced Indigo .75 Oz Blue

Got this to color some homemade soap. It is great. A little bit goes a long way. Easy to use, but don't spill it, it will make a mess! Would buy again

be sure to read up on how to make an indigo vat before plunging in. this color works very well and is holding up great on the clothing I dyed, even after several washes. clean-up was surprisingly easy (I did work carefully). it's quite fun to watch the indigo color oxidize in front of your eyes.

I wish it came with simplest of an any instructions which would've helpes my Towels not come out all blotchy but they did get dyed quite effectively!! And the color is beautiful

I received my order of 3 bags of 21.26g Pre-reduced Indigo dye in 4 days. I have always worked with Jacquard Indigo Dye Kits from Walmart but the dye in the kit sat on my shelf too long and moisture got to it. So this is me replacing just the dye ingredient for my vat. Excited to see the results.

Seller doesn't bother to mention in the description that this stuff:1) is not ready-to-use;2) can't be used at all without two separate and (to me) obscure chemicals, not included in the package, that no one I know, and likely no one who's not a clothes-dying enthusiast, would have lying around or have ever heard of; and3) consists of a little packet of blue granules that must be put in a cauldron together with the not-included-elements-that-nobody's-ever-heard-of, & boiled & bubbled into the desired deep blue concoction.Rather than hunt for eye-of-newt (or whatever the missing things are), and finish the manufacturing that the manufacturer left undone, I will, of course, return the packet, and buy what I thought I was getting -- namely, a bottle of ready-to-use liquid indigo fabric dye . . . all on a quest to restore the shirt I ruined by splattering it with "scrubbing bubbles" tile cleaner.

It's not easy to find pre-reduced indigo that's not part of a tie-dye or batik kit. Indigo is an entirely different animal when it comes to the science and the techniques, so being pre-reduced is a very nice thing. Videos on YouTube are extremely helpful when it comes to those special techniques, so make sure you really soak up the concepts before you begin. And remember! If you want to use indigo on animal fibers like wool and alpaca you need to make sure to use the right mordant.

I have been using this Indigo dye for my Shibori projects. I'm still learning but am very happy with the results. I plan to keep ordering this product as it's easy to use and has a wonderful deep blue color.
