Penn and Avery
I love Dogwood Lane.Small town, everybody knows everybody. A friendly wave, a smile, people who genuinely care when they ask how you’re doing. A kind, peaceful place to call home.Avery and Penn have a very short history in this small town, too bad only one of them remembers that special night.Dogwood Lane is as far from Los Angeles as Avery could get. She needed to get away from her uncaring, narcissistic, plastic family as she could could get. She found a safe haven with her aunt. Life with her parents did teach her something. It taught her life goals. She wants what her parents would never achieve. She wants it all. Love, marriage and, someday, kids. And ultimately, it taught her the tools she would need to resist the pull of the towns charming playboy, Penn.Penn. Handsome, tattooed, flirty, cocky and not used to women turning him down. Not until the feisty Avery looks past his signature smirk and sees he’s not looking for a serious anything, let alone a relationship, and does what no other woman has ever done. She said “no”.What starts out as Penn trying to change her mind, turns into a strange sort of friendship. Something he’s never experienced before. Friendship with a woman he’s attracted to. There is definitely lots of flirting going on, lots of sexual tension. But crossing that line might just destroy both of them.Great story, great series. I love her characters. They are people you would love to hang out with in real life.I loved seeing past characters in this book.Dual points of view. Happy ending. A little drama. Can standalone. I’m looking forward to what comes next.

This is the Best Kind of Trouble
Trouble. That's Penn Etling to a tee. His ego is big enough to fill a football stadium and he's about as deep as a toddler’s wading pool. At first glance, that is. His easy charm and swoony smile let him get away with most everything and make all the girls in town vie for his attention. But as we get to know him, the multitude of layers peel back and his unrepentant, devil-may-care attitude hides the part of him who's still that young boy his parents couldn’t love due to their own inadequacies and brokenness.Avery has lived all of her life trying to stay out of the spotlight of her famous parents. She’s hoping her move to Dogwood Lane, TN, will help her build real friendships with people who see her for who she really is, rather than someone to take advantage of for their own selfish purposes. And Penn clearly has one thing in mind when it comes to Avery, but she apparently hasn’t gotten the same memo all the other single women of Dogwood Lane have, because time and time again, she rejects Penn’s advances.Settle in and prepare yourself for a romping good time with these two, because they're just so darn fun! The tension, push and pull, and banter between Penn and Avery will have you gobbling up their story, and the touching scenes full of heart will have you deep in a well of emotions. I’ll admit, I was underwhelmed by Penn to begin with, but it wasn’t long before he owned me, heart and soul.Dogwood Lane is one of those small towns I’d love to live in, with its quaint, inviting setting and colorful secondary characters. If this talented storyteller is new to you, this is a perfect place to start, since the books in this series stand alone. There’s a reason she has so many loyal readers, because once you read one of her books, you'll be eager for more. Get your copy today and get ready to fall in love with the best kind of trouble!

Beautiful love story!
Trouble is a beautiful romance had me under it’s spell from the very first page. A love story that is inspiring, emotional, incredibly sexy, and breathtakingly romantic. Avery is sweet, strong, and generous. Penn is incredibly sexy, fiercely protective, and easy going. The layers to this man are endless – he is full of surprises. He’s the life of the party with a heart of gold. I adored these characters and their story. This second-chance romance that has all the feels. The flirty, witty exchanges are very well-written and they spar so well with one another. Their chemistry was undeniable and electric. No matter how hard they try to resist the attraction, they can’t deny it; the heart wants what it wants. Searching for that missing piece to make them whole and they are powerless to stop the fall. Oh, watching these two fall is magical! The storyline is incredibly well-written and flowed seamlessly. Locke captures the small-town vibe perfectly. The unconditional love of family and friends is heartwarming; always there through good times and bad. The twists and turns are a rollercoaster ride of emotions. I could feel everything the characters experience; the emotions radiate from the pages. The heartfelt moments stole my breath and the heartbreaking ones hit me hard. A powerful story of love, faith and forgiveness that I didn’t want to end! I highly recommend reading this beautiful love story!

Glad I persisted with this one, became a really sweet read!
Ok, firstly, this is the third book in this series. I haven’t read the others and didn’t feel like I was missing out so don’t let that out you off!Secondly, in all honesty, I almost gave up on this quite near to the beginning! I am very glad I didn’t!The banter between these two felt awkward and Penn came across as a walking hormone with very little charm! But as soon as they both got real with themselves and each other, this became a very sweet and romantic story.I liked watching Penn come to grips with his feelings and the fact that they were both willing to communicate with each other so easily about what they both wanted. I liked that the unavoidable fall out was over with quickly and I liked the supporting cast of characters who actually added to the story and didn’t detract which seems to be a difficult balance to get in some books!I personally could have done with all the public stuff at the end but I seem to be in the minority about this in general!!Lastly, the reason he has for not remembering her is, in my mind anyway, a very good one and not at all contrived so don’t let that put you off either if you are thinking he’s a bad guy for that!!

Damned addicting!!!
Man, this series just keeps getting better!!! Adriana Locke has me hooked on these books and her characters. Our third trip to Dogwood Lane sees Penn Etling meet his match in Avery Perry!!I loved that this pair had a history, even though Penn couldn’t remember her or their night together. In previous books we’ve seen that Mr Etling is a good guy but definitely not on the path to settling down any time soon but, in Trouble, we saw a different side to the sweethearted playboy. The guy is sweet, hardworking, funny AF, loyal and dependable but he’s got a deeper side to him that he doesn’t want anyone to find and my heart hurt for him when we discovered how truly thought of himself when it came to commitment and relationships.Avery was like a female Penn, without the playboy attitude obviously... She was funny, snarky, down to earth (which given her folks and the life she’d been raised in was refreshing). I loved that she didn’t fall for Penn right from the get go but was honest enough with herself when it came to their chemistry and her attraction to him. Being friends with him, for me, gave them a deeper connection and made their potential relationship more real, and man, how I was rooting for them. This book was laugh out loud funny, so damned addicting and, quite probably, my favourite book in the Dogwood Lane series so far.5 big hearted stars for Penn & Avery!

Nice
I enjoyed this series although this book was my least favourite. Throughout the whole series I have loved Penn as a character but this book was a little slow. The characters in Dogwood Lane are very likeable and well thought out, I would have preferred a better epilogue but am hoping for another book in this series. If this is the last in the series then a much more in depth epilogue for all the main characters is really needed as you are left wanting more.

Loved!
Trouble is book 3 in the Dogwood Lane Series by Adriana Locke. Its the one I have been waiting for since I first read Tumble! Trouble was amazing!! Penn's story was everything I had hoped it would be and more, he's my new favourite but that's just between you and me (Don't tell Lincoln)! Penn is the charmer everyone knows it, full of one liners, cheeky innuendos and trouble (in a good way) with a capital T. But he has met his match with Avery who is the only person he has never managed to charm first time around or did he?! As always loved catching up with the rest of the Dogwood Lane residents and can't wait for the next one in the series, I am keeping my fingers crossed there is another one!

Great Story
4 StarsPenn is amazing, he doesn’t know what hit him when he meets Avery and its brilliant to see.Penn is your typical ladies’ man, doesn’t want to settle down, is happy just being casual, that is until he meets Avery and his world gets turned upside down when he starts to develop feelings! He knows he wants more with Avery but he has no idea how to express that to her or how to give her more. The results are brilliant to see, with some good old-fashioned ribbing from his best friends.
