Just what I needed
I've been slowly putting together a harbor freight trailer. I had wired it knowing I wanted to add extra lights later. So I had short wires split going towards the back to add the lights later. I wanted lights that had reverse lights and separate turning lights, from the brake lights. I bought these (Agrieyes 6 Inch Oval LED Trailer Lights, Submersible Boat Trailer Light, with Brake, Turning Signal, Reverse Light, Backup Light, DOT Compliant https://a.co/d/inNU3JyBut using a 4 pin setup they wouldn't fully function the way I wanted. So I ended up buying this Curt item. I knew it wouldn't operate the trailer lights already installed the way I wanted it. So I ended up wiring this after the regular trailer lights using the wiring I had already ran for the extra lights I was adding. It worked perfect on the lights I added. I have separate brake, running lights, turn signal and reverse lights. I should mention that I had ran a reverse wire when I wired the trailer. It's awesome. So happy I took the time to do this. Is there an easier way to do this? Probably. But this worked out great for me.

Works great!
I purchased this item to power the 3rd brake light on my truck's topper. Works great! I was only going to connect to one side's stop/turn light. With only one side's stop/turn light connected (there was no output) it would not. At first I thought it was defective but as I thought about it overnight I reasoned that it may need input from both the left and right stop/turn lights to power and determine the correct output. Turns out that is exactly right. Once I fully connected all the input leads it worked correctly. Very happy with this device. It has an adhesive on the back side of the box and I was able to affix it to the inside of the truck bed out of sight and the weather.Modern trucks use one wire for both the stop and turn lights. I believe the vehicle's BCM provides the correct signal to light bulb for stop or turn. My state requires truck's with a topper that obscures the 3rd brake light to have a working 3rd brake light on the topper to pass inspectionI recommend this item and would use it again.

Works with LED lights... mostly
I added a dual swingout bumper to my truck, and the tire and jerry can carriers block the tail lights. The new bumper has cut-outs for the Roadvision 3-way lights, but did not come with wiring. Rather than tap the wires I decided to use the 7-pin trailer plug as it's plug-and-play.Pros:- Works (mostly) perfectly with the Roadvision LED lights. I can't guarantee it'll work with all LED lights but it does work with these.Cons:- The relay makes a fairly loud click each time it activates.- There is a small delay, maybe 100 milliseconds, when activating the brake lights. This is likely due to how long it takes for the relay to energize- With LED lights, the turn signals may start to light up before the relay activates. In my case when I step on the brake the turn signal lights have an almost imperceptible flicker before the relay activates and the brake light comes on. This wouldn't be an issue with incandescent lights, but the LEDs are so responsive that it happens. I'm not an electrical engineer but I suspect some sort of resistor or other way to slow the turn signal a fraction of a second would prevent this.Other:- I can't tell if the relay is waterproof so I ended up mounting it inside the vehicleOverall I'm happy with this device for my purpose, though if the relay ever fails due to the brief flicker I get described above I'd likely just remove this and tap the turn and brake lights.

Partially works
When the right turn signal is on it works fine, but when you hit the brakes the right turn signal stops working. The left turn signal works as expected and continues to work when applying the brakes. Very disappointed that the right turn signal stops working when applying brakes. Have to return and figure something else out.

Performs as advertised.
This product was easily adaptable for use on my motorcycle trailer. I was able to separate the combined brake/turn signal into individual lines

Provides intended results.
Does work with led- contrary to what the box says, just have to add resistors to get them to blink at the regular speed. Otherwise the tunsignals blink too fast. Also, the hazard lights will come through the brake light bulbs, since they activate at the same time the box thinks they're brakes.

Worked for my LED trailer lights!
I installed some boat guide posts onto my boat trailer and I wanted them to have brake & turn signals mounted on them, as my pontoon boat makes it difficult to see my trailer lights from some angles. My trailer lights are LEDs and I found reviews saying this type of signal splitter would not work on LEDs. I decided to try it out, as the listing for this product had no such narrative. To my pleasant surprise, the splitter works perfectly and I now have working brake and turn signals in the guide posts. I put the switch in a waterproof box, siliconed the living daylights out of it and so far, so good! I had to mount the box at the back of the trailer, as mounting up front would have required a full re-wiring job that I really did not want the work and expense of doing. Due to the location at the back being one that will be submerged every time I launch/dock my boat, I took extra precautions to ensure the box had no areas of possible water penetration. I also took the extra precaution of putting silicone on the seams of the switch to make sure it is also water tight in case water somehow gets into the box.I definitely recommend this switch to anyone with LED trailer lights, I have had good success with it!

Easy to wire in and works perfectly
A bit pricey, but wired in easily and well marked for wiring. Works perfectly and time will tell as to reliability working well thus far.

Works, just not what I expected
This unit works as advertised, the only issue is the signal lights don't work if the brakes are not applied.
