Gives out a usable amount of light in all three configurations. It is a bit fragile, a small portion of the plastic broke right away but didn't effect performance. The battery case portion on the bottom can easily come off when you don't expect it.

The light works great, it is nice and bright. I have now used the light on two separate camping trips both 5 nights long. I only used one set of batteries for both trips. The batteries may not have needed replacement, but it was something I did not want to worry about dead batteries. The multifunction aspect is great and the durability seems suitable for backpack storage. The light was dropped a few times accidentally on different surfaces and no damage was noted. I am very happy with this light we are considering buy a few more if we decide we need them.Battery life is great, the brightness is great. The only complaint comes down to physics and not the lantern itself. When the light is hanging from an awning there is a dark spot directly under the light, but with two lights the dark spots all but disappear.

Failed on first camping trip. When telescoping it up to use the lantern function, it no longer turns on reliably. If you can get it to come on, within a couple of minutes the light will dim and then go out and this is with new batteries. Obviously a poor switch design. Very irritating since it was the only lantern we carried with us.

I paid for this item and I will provide an honest, non biased review! For those who've read a few here I'm sure you'll understand that. First, the company is great and I received an email from them the same day it was supposed to be / was delivered. Very good and unusual as far as my experiences the majority of the time are. That said, "special ops?!" I looked over lots of reviews and one happened to mention this as well. So my question here is just what were all these people who wrote reviews here comparing this item to? It's certainly well built, well designed and all that. But, this device isn't by any stretch of the word bright. I actually took it apart 3 times hoping that perhaps I didn't close it quite right and this would result in my seeing some "brightness" to this light. So if you're looking for an item that combines 3 different functions and is well built and nothing else, I suppose it works. But if you are actually wanting to purchase an item which even resembles what I figure most would actually consider "bright," then this Is Not for you! I could only imagine the response from those who actually operate in the field of special ops. That would be interesting as well as (I would have to believe) quite humorous!!!

Had one for a couple of years and it's fine. Ordered two more --- one arrived with obvious surface scratches and it looked like it's been used and returned.

Great product! Light is very bright on high, I was pleasantly surprised! Compact and easy to carry. Had a few problems with the top coming off when I tried to open it, but I figured it out, and haven't had a problem since. I would recommend this product.

Great lantern that is super bright for only using 3 AAA batteries. I bought this originally for my everyday night walks, but it is now in my go bag! Super bright 3 mode LED. High and low flashlight from the bottom, or pop up lantern which is perfect for lighting up an entire room. You can hold onto it easily or attach a rope or something to hang it from as it has a little arm that pops up on the top. Great product and will probably buy another!

Great packaging box. Great exterior casing for the flashlight. Too bad it fell completely fell apart while I was putting batteries in it. The plastic hinges that hold the pieces together snapped, so not putting it back together is not an option.This product is such junk I will spend time on review but will not bother with seller or manufacturer.It should be illegal to such poor quality. I would hope Amazon looks into this product and the seller.
