A masterpiece!
I learned of this movie from The Pipe and Tamper podcast. It was well worth my time and money. I would highly recommend this film to anyone. I've never seen a film that could make me feel this much emotion and reverence for anything in my life.

Amazing movie about a great art
I am a novice pipe smoker and it is awesome to see how much history goes into this “hobby” and culture.Hopefully more people will pick up smoking pipes and drives sales and competition more.It would do the world good if more people stated smoking pipes. It’s an awesome instrument to slow down and self reflect. The pipe is the perfect companion for solitude.Wish there were more movies like this.

Touching, on what pipe smoker's/ Collectors overlook
My father smoked a pipe and I have for around 20 years. I was lucky enough to have learned from him at a young age. I am currently 40yrs old. If I could convey one piece of advice to new smokers, it would be to gain an appreciation of artisan pipe makers from the start. Understand the passion, skill, and art put into the process of creating something that will bring the smoker a lifetime of enjoyment, possibly more. Unfortunately, most pipes are "judged" , upon price Point. Remove this from your mind and step back. A helpful tip is to choose a pipe that grabs your attention, DO not look at the price first. Soon you will understand. Choose your "Picasso" and you will have no regrets. This documentary touches on this and the emotional relationship between pipe smoker and pipe, and most of all the..ARTIST.

Well done with a balanced perspective
I wasn’t expecting the very touching, humane and deeply personal aspect of this pipe maker documentary. The film takes you in the lives, home, thoughts, feeling, fears and joys of each persons segments. Even if you are not into pipes or smoking it was a pleasure to watch

I was HOOKED!
An amazing documentary of pipe makers and pipe smoking history. We enter a world long forgotten with craft-people who work with their hands for hours selecting the right briar, carving and shaping it, and finally, customer enjoying the final product. Pipe smoking is a time-honored tradition for many, it is unfortunate that it gets wrapped up in the bad press of cigarette smoking...they are nothing alike. I really enjoyed watching this documentary and I highly recommend it!

Great movie for the pipe smoker, Unbeleavable.
I puchased this movie right after its release, finaly a movie about smoking pipes. Lee Von Erck, Sixten, Lars and Nanna Ivarsson in this movie are the greatest pipe makers in the world. I have been smoking pipes as a hobby for years now a this movie is something I watch over and over while enjoying my pipe. I have my Grandfathers pipe which is an old Ivarsson which I do smoke once a year and now I know the history of this pipe due to this movie. I hope a part two is made, SO Great.

So much more than a pipe smoking documentary
This brilliant documentary is so much more than it seems to be on the surface. Not only was it a fascinating look into the world of pipe smoking past and present. It’s also a beautifully filmed and directed insight into connections we make with friends and family during our short time on this earth. I’ve watched it several times already and I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone who enjoys pipe smoking or simply the human connection in general.
