Did not work reliably
It's not nearly as easy to use as your would expect, and it does not work consistently. I got it to work once, but then it would never initialize ever again. No matter how many times I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers... I even removed the device via task manager... I rebooted plenty of times... but it never worked again. When it did work, the software is wonky -- you have to start the software, then click a "connect" button to connect the software to the device, and only then will it read cards. But, even then the software is not intuitive and requires some trial and error to determine how it works. I would not feel comfortable giving this to one of my end users based on the software's user interface & general experience -- but I don't have to worry about that because it just doesn't work. BTW, I was using Windows 10 Pro.

Works but not as promised
So, initially I was having trouble finding software to run this thing (who has optical drives anymore?) and since the vendor does not share a link to software, I spent hours searching and was finally able to find an exe that worked. The reader/writer does work and it reads/writes EM4100 just fine but it does NOT read/write EM4305 which is what the Amazon description promises it can do and is in fact the only reason I purchased this. So I am still pretty bummed about this. I give it 2 stars because it does function, but not for what it promises.

Driver's don't function on Win10 64bit.
Was unable to get driver's working with Windows 10 64bit.

Program doesn't work
Accompanying program would not install on win 10.
