Perfect ball of Ice!!
Purchase these cubes molds and they very good set to use. The freeze well and cubs don't break. Only thing is learning how much water to put in them but that is just trial and error/ Great gift for any Bourbon drinker.

Easy to use ice sphere maker
Very simple way of making ice spheres for my bourbon and other drinks. I haven't yet figured how to make them as clear as glass like the spheres and oversized cubes at my favorite speakeasy, but these are fun. They melt slowly in comparison to regular ice cubes

Keeps drinks cool longer
Bought these to try last summer. They're fairly easy to use. When adding water be careful to leave enough air space for expansion at the top. I used a small funnel though you might not need that with a measuring cup made for liquids. Ice overflowed and froze to the outside of the spheres when water was added to the measuring line on the molds so I had to add less than indicated. When the spheres were ready to freeze I put them into a small square plastic storage container and set them in a flat space so they wouldn't tip over and spill. Ice made in them looks like crystal balls and is pretty.Ice spheres made with these molds lasted longer than regular ice cubes did. It's claimed they dilute your drinks less too than all the surface area of many ice cubes. I drink juices diluted and don't drink hard liquor so I can't judge. The molds have held up well so far except when a squirrel got in our house and decided to snack on one.

Easy and Effective Ice Ball Maker - Balls Aren't Perfect But are Close
Pros:- Well made- Easy to (I use a standard measuring cup and pour directly into the fill hole on top)- Fill line (wavy "water" lines) - in my experience, it works best to fill a little below the water lines- Easy to remove the ice balls. The tabs make this easy (which I gather is not the case with some other designs). The ice tends to stick in the top. It is then easy to flip it over and, while holding the rim with your fingers, push the ball out with your thumbs.Cons:- Water fill line seems to be a little too high- Balls are not perfect spheres (but are close). There tends to be a small flange of ice where water gets between the two mold halves as well as a small bump of ice at the fill hole. However, based on what I have read, all ice ball makers do this so I didn't count this one down for it. Also, since the mold halves fit together very snugly, the flange is pretty minimal and the fill bump can be minimized by getting the fill amount right.- Like all other molds, the ice ball formed is not crystal clear as shown in the pictures (more a function of the water used [reverse osmosis, in my case] than the mold). Also, after some melting, the ice does tend to fracture with near-perfect quarter-sphere pieces breaking off. Again, based on the comments I've read elsewhere, both tend to be common to all molds so I didn't count this one down. My guess (and it's just that) is that the clarity is a function of the water purity and could be played with if you're obsessive about it (but since RO water is already pretty pure, this may not be easy). The fractures could be tougher to eliminate but I am guessing are related to the fact that water expands when it freezes and all of the water in the ball does not freeze at the same time. I suspect that letting the mold chill and shaking or stirring the water periodically before it freezes solid would probably yield a more fracture-free ice ball. For me, I'm not that picky so these work fine for my purposes as is.

Could be better
Difficult to fill - worked ok at first, but now (after a few months of use) if you don't hold the top and bottom together with all your fingers while filling, the water will leak out. Makes a good, round shape if filled to the line. Freezes well. Takes a minute to thaw enough to remove ice from containers.

Great
I tried these today and they were easy to fill and take out of the moulds. They come out near perfect. Some I overfilled thru the top hole but I just bit that little knob off. They take a long time to freeze but look awesome in the end. Also easy to set in your freezer.

Funcionan
