The device does not work and the reviews are fake
The item did not work, and the reviews for the device are fake. Many of the fake reviews 'remind you' to get a hdmi cable to use the device, but the device they are reviewing plugs directly into the hdmi port of the tv, and can not use a hdmi cable. The glowing fake 5 star reviews also repeat the same word patterns and sentence structure, with just enough variation to keep them from being completely identical. The instructions (if you can call them that) are laughable, and contain no reference to a website to upgrade the firmware as many of the fake reviews insist is necessary. The documentation does not even identify any website to assist you in contacting the device manufacturer, and doesn't identify the name of the company that produced the device. In short, the reviews are fake, and the device does not work. Save your money.

Occasionally Works, Sort Of...
I got this dongle to replace my now-nonfunctional Chromecast Gen 2 that was seemingly made useless by Google updates. I was impressed by the high ratings from verified buyers. Only one problem, this thing is not reliable and won't stay connected via my laptop running Windows 10. It seems clear the move for these and other suppliers is to throw support to mobile devices rather than PC's.I am running Windows 10 on an HP laptop, nothing exotic. As is often the case with imports, the "manual" was virtually useless and almost unreadable even under magnification. On Windows and a PC this device uses the Miracast standard and Peer To Peer wireless and as such doesn't need a wireless network to operate, or so goes the theory. I did finally get the device to cast my desktop screen but the picture was choppy and broke up every time I moved the cursor. Then, after a few minutes it simply would not connect. Changing modes or power cycling would "wake up" the device, but there seemed no way to change any of attributes for this device. I was able to access the device through a network connection when it was in "DLNA" mode, but that setup is for use with Apple evidently and of no use for Miracast support. This thing went back yesterday. I reread the review section to see where I went wrong when I bought this item and realized a few things. 1) This device has ONLY 5 star reviews, no lower ratings with nearly 100 "verificed" buyers listed.. Never, never do you see even the best product get only 5 stars. In addition, there are NO customer comments at all and no evident way to leave one. Lastly, even though the supplier says to contact them with questions there appears to be no way to do that.If you are looking for a reliable method to cast your PC to a larger screen don't bother with this. It failed to work from ANY of my PC's in a reliable way and as such was just unusable.

No delay!
I use to own a cheaper brand dongle and started to notice a delay when using it with the projector. I read the review and decided to purchase and give it a try. Works a lot better than the previous one I had. Karaoke Nights will be a lot better!!! Works just as expected, super easy to use. I wish it didn't need the USB power supply connector but I can deal with that. No more delays in sound!

If you are willing to gamble on a device with no documentation and no support, it does work.
Sadly I have to agree that the vast majority of these reviews must be fake. After a lot of trial and error and device crashes, I think I've generally worked out how to use this. There is one page of pictures that counts as a 'manual' - no support number or site, and certainly no where to get new firmware that the other 'reviews' claim. If you do buy this, the biggest note is that the button on its side switches between airplay and Miracast modes. Airplay requires the device to be on your WiFi network, so the first step is to join the ad-hoc network *it* creates, visit the website that controls the device, and then enter the details for your actual network. After a crash and a reboot you should be able to airplay while connected to your normal network. Miracast mode just seems to work, fortunately.

Audio great - no video - worthless
I have tried two (2) dongles at this point. Both had the same problem. Once I had connected wireless to my TV using my Samsung Galaxy S9+ I could see my phone screen just fine. However, when I went into Netflix or HBONow on the phone, the audio played fine, but there was NO VIDEO on the TV (the video on the phone was fine). The instructions are pretty worthless. Very small print, poor choice of fonts, and don't really address Android smartphones. There is no phone and website to find better instructions. I reached out to the seller 6 days ago through Amazon, but no response. Amazon kindly send me a 2nd dongle after I complained about the 1st one, but, as I said, same results. Too bad, I was hoping this dongle was going to work as advertised, but it doesn't. I'd be happy to revise my review if I could only get some help from the manufacturer. But, until then, 1 star is generous for a faulty product.

Easy to use and it works
It works and it is very easy to use. I use it to give bible class lectures using a HP Envy 13 running Win 10. When you get it you will need to connect through WiFi, type in the IP in a browser and change its mode if you plan to connect using Windows 10 built in "Connect" option. A friend used it to connect a Surface tablet and it worked as great as well.

Super easy to install no delay wireless but wired delay
This was super easy to install. Tv had a USB port so I used that to power it. Slipped in hdmi port. Sorta tight because the dongle is long but I maneuvered some cords and it worked. The only thing I wasn’t aware of is I have to use my data. Other than that. This is a must have. Long as it continues this quality well worth it. Another downfall is that wired there is a delay between audio and video. It’s a few seconds but very noticeable.

You have to WIFI connect your phone to the device
I understand this product does what it says - wirelessly put your phone screen to the TV, but you have to connect your phone to the device through WIFI signal, meaning you can't connect your own WIFI, therefore you need to use your data plan/LTE speed to play whatever video, which to me it's not a smart mechanism. This review is for those people who think it will work same way as Apple TV, NO, the price explains why.
