Aveda Volume 5 Developer Color Catalyst 30oz Conditioning Creme

Seems to be softer on hair than other alternatives!

Again, another Aveda product I tried and will stick with. I bought a small bottle of some other product, but it didn't work well at all. Aveda products, athough pricey, are well worth it.

I have been having my hair done by a professional for at least 40 years and due to the pandemic decided to try Aveda the results have been outstanding I really enjoy doing it myself and will continue to buy all Aveda products for self use fabulous results

I still don’t know if it works well

Pictured is the bottle I received for my order. I'm now realizing that it looks a bit different from that shown on this listing, but this is the alleged "5 volume" developer I received and used. I used this product with my toner the way I normally do (my usual other alternative products were sold out) and this stuff absolutely fried my hair and scalp, and sadly lifted my hair the way a 20 vol developer normally would. I now have hot roots, damaged hair, and what's worse... I had been growing out quite a bit of my natural coloured hair (with just a few highlights on it) and this stuff lifted all of that, too! A year of grow out progress gone. My hair is now damaged, ruined, and hideous, with orange patches where it lifted (but should not have at 5 vol!) I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Will purchase again

Good product but expensive

Product had leaked out of the bottle, into the plastic bag. I’m curious why the bottle wasn’t sealed.
