Bokit IR Hidden Infrared Remote Extender Receiver Emitter Repeater System 4 in 1

There seem to be several reviews saying they either don't work or have poor reception. That's not the case for me - I've been using it for almost a year now and it has worked flawlessly. It has very strong reception for me (it will blink even from 15 feet away even when I point the remote away from it). For me, this was a great value.

It works great with my stereo system but will not operate or function my cable box which is from Time Warner Cable. The frequency it uses seem to be different than what it can handle.

It would not control the (ZTE) set top box for my Fioptics TV from Cincinnati Bell so I am returning the item. It worked on all my other devices. The receiver LED blinked faintly when I used the STB remote, brightly on all other remotes so I have to believe that the frequency used is out of the operating range for this Bokit extender.

I like the product. It works great on my older Onkyo HT-R540, but it would not work with my newer Sony STN-DR860. I had to switch my receivers around, and for that reason I gave it only 3 stars.

It was so easy to hook this up. I put all my tv boxes and gam systems in a cabinet with a solid door so the signal was unable to get through it. I just plugged in the ir repeater and stuck the nodes onto a few of the boxes. It works great! It seems a bit odd to have what looks like a robot eye looking out but its much better than the eye sore of the boxes and game systems!

I bought (2) of these for a location that was going to have (2) TV's in a gym area. They want to have the cable boxes in another area. (1) works ok and the other doesn't work unless you have the remote control an inch from the IR receiver. No joke! An inch! I have since returned it (3) times and all (3) replacements do the same thing. (1) of the replacements almost worked. I have since ordered a completely different brand and style of IR extenders and thrown the working one and the replacement ones in the garbage where they belong. What a waste of time and energy trying to get these to work. Do not buy them.
