Perfect For Vinyl Collectors!!!
I immediately had heart eyes when I opened this book. It's packed with all of my favorite classic soul and funk album covers, including obscure selections paired with great interviews and info. Perfectly bounded with excellent quality printing. I'm buying a few more as gifts :) The BEST book I've ever owned. - Noel

Meh
Yes the measurements are listed but this book is tiny! Not coffee table book material. The album cover concept would've been a hit with a bigger size and quality photos

It's okay
This book is good but not a comprehensive collection of Funk and Soul record covers. There are a number of key album covers that I expected to see inside but they are not there. There are some iconic albums from bands that became gateways to many other soul bands that are not included such as Switch, The Ohio players and Slave. Instead there are some that are expected because they are the later work of artists and are more commercial and renowned, so there are more than two Earth Wind and Fire albums, Phyllis Hyman's You know how to love me album is displayed but her earlier albums such as Groove with you is not here. I would love to see another version of this book that is more conclusive of Soul and Funk.

A book for music lovers
A passion for music and a love of album art goes hand in hand. This a brilliant book and superb way to explore Funk.and Soul, especially if you are venturing into uncharted territory. My recommendation for a lazy day off is this book lots of tea or coffee and a subscription music service so you can listen, and learn as you feast on the eye candy
