Can you use this to dye your hair black if its light brown?

Hi, Gabriel... Honestly I don't know for sure.  It would seem to me that if a man went several shades darker than his natural color with Just for Men which is a demi-dye, it would probably not stay real dark for long before wearing off.  In using this product myself, I find that I get a better result by using a lighter shade, and just letting it process longer for like 8 minutes instead of 5 before rinsing it out. (I use Sandy Blond; but my hair is sort of Dark Blond.)Since you are light brown, maybe experiment with using medium brown for 8-min, or dark brown for 5 then see how you like it.If you're really bold, I suppose just try black; and if you don't like it, it is supposed to wear off in 6-weeks, which means it would gradually get lighter week-to-week.Also much depends on how long your hair is.  I keep a crew cut with bumper, and so most of my hair gets cut off within 4-weeks each hair cut.Good luck!

How often do you have to use this product if you are dying your hair significantly darker than yr natural shade? I'm thinking visable roots not fading

I'm using a color almost identical to my own, and it seems to last in pretty decent shape for about 4 weeks -  about a week longer during the winter months. I wash my hair twice a day due to workouts, so it does take a beating, and because I am at the "age of gray", I can get away quite well with a bit of gray showing through. I think it used to last 5-6 weeks, but not any more. Changes in my hair or the in product, who knows? Also, it really helps with thinning hair by darkening the gray and beefing up the body a bit; although, websites claim it damages the body over the long run. We'll see,

Will real black cover darkest brown? i mistakenly used darkest brown, and although it's dark and i'm ok with that, its definitely brown. not black.

Yes, since Real Black is a darker shade, it will cover over the Darkest Brown color that is already in your hair.
