Q: Can this be used to anneale

Sorry, they don't get hot enough. And, you need a ramp down knob so you can slowly cool off your glass. We do carry annealers on our website.

Q: Amps/watts? I just ordered one,curious how much cheaper it is to run vs my kiln.

Not sure on wattage, but it’s really not a replacement for a kiln. It’s great to pre-warm glass before torching, especially if your glass is shocky. It only warms up to about 800*. I garage completed beads in my kiln at 920* before running my annealing program.
