Works great, no problems transfering data ftom my old laptop to my new. Very easy, had safety features that I didn't even know existed, and multiple ways to contact support, if I had needed to. The whole process was well documented and explained in terms that were non technical and easy to follow. Great product and great documentation.

THIS IS ONLY THE CABLE. IT DOES NOT INCLUDE THE NECESSARY SOFTWARE TO TRANSFER FILES. As far as the cable goes, it is great. It appears to be a 6 ft. CAT 5 ethernet male-to-male cable. I do not know if the cable has any specific configuration that a normal CAT 5 cable would not have.

Product is great - except that transferring a USER from XP to Windows 10 failed on the USER aspect. Files went, but user could not be created. I contacted Laplink support, after working with me determined that it was a Win10 issue. They would work with me for $99 to resolve this issue or (I think it was) $129 for a year for any issues. Funny, when I called Microsoft and went through the problem (yes, it is a Win10 problem, not fixed by Microsoft) they told me the same thing, and offered the same prices for the same resolution. I don't fault Laplink for the issue, but it would have been nice if they had told me straight-out that the creation of a USER on Win10 was an issue.

Wouldn't connect to my equipment. I bought the wrong one. The right one, however, worked great except I wish it was easier to choose certain files to transfer.

This worked great for the transfer of files from my old computer to the new one. It does not transfer applications, but handles any other type of file seamlessly. The package includes the required Ethernet cable plus the software you need to install on both computers. The files all transferred in 6-7 hours

I used to use Laplink migration software about 15 years ago, and it worked fairly well. This new PC Mover software, however, is pure cr*#p. And this *special* Laplink ethernet cable does not work. I'm sure it's just a crossover cable. I'll have to look at the pins. A wasted 21 bucks for the cable and wasted 40 bucks for the software. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time with this. Just copy files to a USB drive. From a frustrated IT professional.

I had to move info out of two older computers to two newer ones....the program (downloaded) was easy to use and well documented and tech support was very very helpful in resolving an initial glitch I had with an XP machine. Only caveat is this software has a limited license agreement. I believe you can transfer between two machines that you've set up any number of times. But you can only pair up a max of three machines with the license. That's my interpretation. Nonetheless, it's far less cumbersome than moving info with flash media and the like.

I was a bit apprehensive about using this, being a bit computer illiterate. I followed the instructions and it was so easy to use . Great job as all the files were transferred to my new computer without a problem. Good piece of software which l would recommend.

I am very pleased with my purchase of the Laplink Easy transfer cable. I transfered all my files from my old Windows 7 computer to my new Windows 8.1 computer. Easy to follow instructions. It transfered all my email folders and settings and , once, I downloaded Thunderbird my email opened with everything there. With previous transfers of data from one computer to another, I had spent hours getting my email set up. I recommend this cable for hassle free data transfer!

Transpires that it only transfers files and not applications. Can upgrade to include apps for another $35 but I'm now a little gunshy and looking at other products that are a little more up front with the information.

Produit certainement excellent pour le transfert des fichiers, mais la version express livrée avec le produit ne transfert pas les applications, il faut acheter pour cela la version professionnelle, d'où un produit plus cher. Je ne l'ai pas gardé.
