The Devil Is a Part-Timer!, Vol. 10 (light novel)

If you're already this far in the series this review change whether or not you read this one, but...I have to say Emi's character development takes where it was naturally heading from the previous novel and ramps it up to its full extent, which at least for me was a little surprising (in a good way!) given her typical tsundere dynamic. That plus some other key moments (no spoilers!) really made this one stick out for me as a tone shift by the author (Satoshi's afterward at the end hints at this as well) that I think is going to be even more amazing for character/plot development to come.(Also thank you thank you thank to Kevin Gifford and Yen Press for translating this from someone who barely reads a lick of Japanese but loves this series.)

This was another good volume. Things flowed and the switches between the points of view were natural. None of the words were wasted, everything opened a door for us, the readers, to get a little more of the story in hand. Of course, even greater mysteries pop up in this volume, but what is being revealed and the pace is really nice. The plots and characters are jumping into a new sphere of the story and the build-up is looking good. I’m looking forward to the next installment.

Great book. Really great. Definitely worth picking up. If you have seen the anime adaptation, then you will really want to get these books. They haven't all been translated yet, but they're going to be, so catch up with the series if you didn't get enough from the anime's 12 or so episodes.

This was a great follow up to volume 9. Lots of action, lots of great dialogue. Looking forward to volume 11

Same old wacky crew caught up in other people's nonsense. The veil over the greater structure of the world was pulled aside a bit.
