CRAFTSMAN Aviation Snips, Straight, Long Cut (CMHT73561)

These long-shear snips are excellent for cutting flat metal. The long shears are not suited for curved metal. Very difficult to cut a straight line on curved metal. If you're cutting round ventilation pipe you will want the off-set snips or the short-shear snips.

I need some aviation snips for sheet metal and the Craftsman cutters work well for this with their longer blades. I also choose them because all my tools are Craftsman

these cut really nice, I mostly use them on chicken wire and hardware mesh.

Made in China but seem well made. Tested them on steel sheet metal with no problem.

Good tool, the long nose made it easy to cut aluminum gutter covers, and also less dangerous than using my regular aviation snips. Shorter nose clips tend to cause the sheet metal to curl and leave dangerous edges.These snips are also easier to use than my straight tin snips which are bulky and have no spring.

I bought these not to snip tin, but to cut through dog treats like moo tubes (bovine esophagus), bully sticks, and ears. These cut through them well. There are dried out cartilage rings in the moo tubes that resist kitchen scissors. Regular wire cutters' blades are too short to do much more than split the pieces. These snips act like scissors - straight clear cut - just like I wanted.

I purchased these snips for my husband who was having trouble with the snips he had on hand. I decided after looking at lots of snips that going with this longer version of snips was the best thing to do. They have a spring like action that makes them extremely easy to hold and do the cutting job without causing sore hands trying to cut. I think most importantly, my main reason for choosing this pair of snips was the Craftsman name brand which I still trust. I am just happy I made a tool purchase for my husband and hit it just right with what I chose.

Ponto positivo: corte macio , aproximadamente 50 mm. Facilidade de uso em locais com espaço reduzido, utilizei o bico da tesoura para cortar um pequeno pedaço, evitando retirar a telha.Para algumas pessoas pode ser entendido como ponto negativo, acabamento do corte, fica ligeiramente serrilhado.
