The dotted paper is clear and works great. I just wish the covers were thicker. I thought it would be like a composition book, but they're really just slightly heavier paper covers in plain white. They show dirt and wear for that reason too.I can't really fault it for that though. I just wanted something slightly different. They're well made and work just fine to write in.
