the way the love unfolds and is demonstrated with each character/family/child throughout the ...
I've read all 9 books in the series in less than 5 days. Once I got around to reading the first book in the series, I immediately purchased the next 8 and didn't stop reading. I was hooked.I was very surprised at how well developed this world of Gargoyles is, the depth of characterisation and the interaction of each character as their story unfolded. I discovered I learnt more about each couple prior to them being given their own book and I appreciated how characters from earlier stories remained a constant. It is rare for me to read a series where the focus is on a clan of people and their presence is felt in each book released. I think this is what makes it so successful. I'm quite a skeptic but I must admit, the way the love unfolds and is demonstrated with each character/family/child throughout the series is quite believable and possible. I LOVE that the author has not shied away from writing about the relationship and sexuality between two males. Neither has she shied away from topics such as abuse, rape, discrimination, hatred, sexuality, trauma and other social issues raised in all the stories. It is brave and truthful in all it's revelation. Some of the characters have irritated the hell out of me, but like I said, life isn't perfect, neither are people, yet as humans with big hearts are inclined to do, we still love those we love, faults and all. This entire series is lovely. It's an HEA, but of a different kind. It's quite fulfilling as a reader to be privy to the dynamics and ongoing demands faced by this Gargoyle Clan. What do I look forward too? Uri & Banyan's story intrigues me as does Achilles & Hunter. Bryce is another that I've become familiar with and I'd like to know more with glimpses of his time with Frey. These characters and personalities are very tangible and concrete. Mason and Willow amuse me though I don't feel as invested in their outcome. Matthew and Slade will be an interesting story. I'd love to read more about them as minor characters in a future story. I love Tamian and I'd like to see him meet his mate. I think his story warrants his own book because he is more fascinating than Tessa. The war between Alastair and the Stones is going to be epic, as is the impending attack from the Unholy.Yep I am fully invested in this world that Faith Gibson has created. I've read A LOT of good books, but this series has captured my imagination.

Very Good 2!
Julian's & Katherine's story 1st focuses on getting her out of prison & her being tortured while in prison; after Julian, Tessa, Gregor & Tamian help get her out this book then is focused on them getting to know each other better.Katherine (Katrina or Carleigh) finds out that she's more than she thinks she is & some of it makes her happy but, some of it doesn't.Julian's role in this is mostly being supportive of Katherine & helping her cope with all of the information thrown at her in a very short time. There is talk of war with Alistair especially when Connor gets a premonition about Athena having passed away but with a smile on her face. Uri & Banyan's relationship was skimmed over again & I would really like to know what happened in New Orleans between them. Julian's nemesis does make an appearance but not in a bad way as he was helping out their Clan undercover as he wanted to know what their Clan was like vs some others that he's been with. After he finds out who framed Katherine & putting into motion for the culprit to get what he deserves & to clear Katherine's name he decides to leave & go after his mate as being in Rafael's Clan for a short time gave him hope that he too can have happiness.Overall this book & this series itself was very good; I don't know if there are going to be any more books in this series or not but it would be interesting to see how the war ends, if Uri & Banyan ever get over their issues & about Dane & Marley's mating.

Jules & Kat, Stone Society 9
Julian & Kat are the focal point of "Stone Society 9"Julian had to wait a long time for it being his turn while always having his brothers back even when his own girl wasn't faring so well. Kat has to go quite through something and won't be easy to just brush off and she will need her man to be by her side. While the story of Jules and Kat comes along we meet up with the characters of the previous books and the possible war that is looming on the horizon with their uncle might just be unavoidable. Many new things to discover when you read the book yourself. I loved this book because the way it is written it takes me to the world of these Gargoyles and their struggles knowing they at least get their HEA as a couple. Their is jokes and loads of emotions to make you laugh, cry and wonder what else is out there and maybe if you get really involved in the series it leaves you wondering who will get his/her match next and how their story will go.I can only recommend this series. I love that every book focuses on one (new) couple while at the same time you have a main story that keeps playing throughout all theses book.

Love this series!!!!
This is one of the best series of book I have ever read. I never get enough of those Gargoyles and their mates. This was another beautiful story of Julian and Katherine. The first part was confusing for a while because I couldn't tell for sure which baby lived. There also wasn't really much of how Julian knew Katherine......it just dove into where she was now and how Julian was going to get her. That being said, it turned into another amazing novel with all the characters I have grown to love. There are quite a few revelations I wasn't expecting. But the mate love and family devotion is as great as ever. If readers have not yet read these books, start with the first one and you'll never stop. Will wait (not so patiently) for all the rest. Faith, these books especially, never cease to amaze me.

Beautiful read, but not as good as the previous books
I'm on the fence regarding this book. The story itself is sweet and deserves 5 stars, but I couldn't help to notice that some things - for my taste - were too unrealistic or questionable. For me it took away from the reading joy. For example there was the FBI easily getting onto Julians property though all Gargoyles have a voice activate top notch security system. I understand it helped the tension that they suddenly appeared, but yeah... for me it took away from possible drama. Then the rescue of Katharine. Even FBI can't just walk into a high security prison, get a prisoner, and walk out with them just like that. It isn't what happened in the end, but it was the plan and it left me wishing for more reality, more drama. The other books were full with dramatic moments like that. These are two things out of the top of my head regarding content. The other thing is that there were increased errors; missing words, upper/lower case errors, etc. I looked and it seems the same editor worked on this book so hmmmm.... not sure what to think. So this all makes only 3 stars so in the end I give 4 starts. On to the next book...

cheese puff
somewhat like the cheese puff snacks so enjoyed by the pregnant mates, whilst they sound and taste good ultimately they are not very satisfying and leave you wanting more.. so is this book.. it's hard to say it is disappointing.. because it certainly delivers all it promised.. but it just seems somewhat lacking and leaves you wondering how you managed to eat the whole bag (read all 267 pages) and still feel like you're starving and whether it was all really just hot air puffing out something that is unsubstantial and unappetising ..there were so many side / back stories going on in this book sometimes I was confused as to who the main characters were meant to be.. I think this series is running on empty and repeating the same idea / story over and over.. having said that I'm seriously looking forward to Urijah's story.. hopefully this will be a stunning conclusion to what had been a interesting and clever series.. I just hope it doesn't end up being 2 or 3 books too far
