Sharp rivet ends inside trunk
When I opened the trunk, there were rivet ends poking through the liner. I'm afraid anything I would put into the trunk would get ruined. I thought about trying to cover the rivet ends, but they stick out so much, I'm afraid they would poke through any covering. Unusable. I returned.

They don't make 'em like they used to!
Years ago I bought a Concourse brand footlocker. I think it was from the year 2001. Though this trunk is identical in terms of the exterior and the overall dimensions, the inside is lined with what looks like cardboard, though it may be pressed wood board. I don't know, but whatever it is, it's sloppy. The rivet holes that poke through without any sort of cover makes it look even sloppier. The old Concourse brand had interior cedar board lining, and there is nary a sight of rivet holes.Having said all that, it does provide some measure of utility. It's sturdy on the outside and is moderately attractive. I just hope the inside holds up, but I seriously doubt I'll get 13 good years from it.Definitely not worth the price. In my opinion, this is a $30 product. Period.

It's just OK.
Not once during my search for a trunk, not once when I read reviews, and not once when I looked at the pictures did it occur to me that a trunk like this would need handles on the side. But when I opened the 3 boxes (3!!!) that it was packed in and pulled it out, and went to move it, believe you me, it was the FIRST thing I noticed. There are none. This is totally a case of my not checking, but if you have never bought one of these before, you NEED them.Oh, and the rivets that hold the pretty metal stuff on the outside come RIGHT through to the inside. I knew that going in...we're getting out the duct tape!

😕
This was bought for my daughter who went away to college in August 2015. She stores away quite a few things. I notice that these trunks aren't made of the same materials when I went away to college a long time ago. And, I was disappointed in that regard. Such as the top, if something heavy is put upon it, it's going to crack... The cardboard underneath is just flimsy. I had to return the first one because it arrived terribly busted up(cannot find a better description than this), but Amazon sent a replacement quick, fast and in a hurry. So fast, that the new one arrived before I returned the busted up one. I cannot say how long it will last, but as for right now, it's doing what it's suppose to do. Suggestion to the manufacturer: consider using a sturdier kind of material other than card board. I believe that would make for a more quality product. Sadly, this product is not a winner for this family.

MINE FELL APART
Very flimsy. Mine began to fall apart almost immediately. First the black borders cracked and fell off, then the lid went askew--even though it sat in the same place in my bedroom and was never moved.
