The Coiled Viper (The Secrets of Droon #19)

The Secrets of Droon is an Awesome book series. I can't believe how easily I could have missed out on this wonderful book series ,had I not seen the first book in the series and thought my does this book look interesting so that is how I decided to get the first book in the series, and I am very glad I did. I would have missed out on reading so many great Adventures in the world of Droon. I did not have #19 and knew that I would soon be on it and have to wait for it as well as the Magic Tee house book to arrive if I didn't order it soon.

My 6 years old granddaughter just loves these books. They are just wonderful short story's but should be read in the order of publication.

This book is 19th in a series where and endless waris taking place between the good Galen and the evil Sparrwho are brothers. Eric and his friends run around chasing Alien frog people and fightingthe evil army of Ninn's who do Sparr's dirty workin all the worlds.The staircase in the closet that bridges the world of Droom with earthis obviously like C. S. Lewis' Wardrobe in his famous Narnia:The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe Movie Tie-in Edition (rack) (Narnia).It is definitely a book for younger readers and notall that well written.

Derivative and formulaic, this book lacks any original spark. Reading it to my daughter for school, I couldn't help picturing the author churning out a book like this every few months. Stringing together a bunch of odd characters and magical objects and symbols and legends, and blah blah blah does not necessarily make a "story".

this was a gift for my grandson, he was very very happy. This is a win win for him and me.
