Good fun, good cupcakes
The media could not be loaded. Me and my 6 year old daughter are really enjoying this cupcake maker. It's very easy to use, but kids definitely need supervision and assistance with this one.First off, there is a smell when it the item is first plugged in, as one reviewer said, but in the paperwork accompanied by the product, this is normal and the smell should only last for the first few times. The item is smaller than it appears in the ad and so in my video, I placed it next to a standard sized oven mitt to give it some scale. An important tip: You MUST use an oven mitt or pot holder to open the lid once it's hot because there is the danger of being burned by hot steam (I know this from first hand experience). Also, the entire item becomes very hot on the top and sides, so avoid touching those as well when it's plugged in.I would highly suggest using cupcake liners for ease of use, although this item is nonstick and I had no problems cleaning up spills.Other than that, it's pretty much "plug and play." For me, it's more of a novelty item and just for my daughter's enjoyment since it only makes 7 mini's at a time and is quite time consuming. For me, it's easier just to make 24 at a time in a pan, but I won't rob my daughter of her sense of fulfillment with it.

Surprisingly good!
I'll be honest, this cupcake maker seemed really gimmicky at first, but my fiancee is gluten intolerant, but she loooves cupcakes, so I wanted to get her a gift that was fun and would let her enjoy her favorite food more often!Ovrall, I've found that I really love a lot of things about it:First of all, it heats up waaay faster than my oven does, so for a quick dessert or even a snack, making muffins or cupcakes are now a feasible option for us. Its fast, and cleanup involves no more than a paper towel.Second, the size of the cupcakes has helped us be healthy while still enjoying ourselves. Rather than eating an entire cupcake or muffin, you can just make some mini ones, and have one or two and not have to run 5 miles to burn the calories.Third, something about the size of the cupcakes makes the cupcakes a little better; the surface area of the cupcake as a proportion of the volume is much higher on a mini cupcake than a regular sized one (yes, I'm a nerd). Basically, this means that you end up with a higher % of your cupcake or muffin being the outside "crust" (everyone prefers the top of the muffin, its a fact). Because of this, once your cupcakes/muffins look golden on the outside in this cupcake maker, its highly likely they're thoroughly cooked inside too.Lastly, its just fun to use!

Easy and fun!
I bought this product as a gift for my roommate, who loves baking and especially cupcakes. She really likes it! We continuously have cupcakes around the apartment. It seems to bake evenly, and I love mini-cupcakes because they are just bitesize as opposed to the regular cupcakes that dont fit so well in your mouth. Nevertheless, you can only make 7 little cupcakes at a time... so if you want to make a whole batch, you'll be standing over this cupcake maker forever! My roommate whips up the batter and stores it in the fridge to make cupcakes fresh about every day. Well, the batter isn't totally fresh, but within a few days, everything seems to still rise just fine and tastes great. I would definitely recommend this product, be beware of how small they are/how few you can make at a time! I can't wait to try muffins!

Cute and Easy to use
Definitely requires cupcake liners. The first couple of tries when using it without the liners, the muffins got burnt and there was smoke everywhere. With the liners, the bottom of the muffin still gets burnt but it's ok as the burnt portion is usually left stuck to the liner when eating the muffin. To ensure even cooking, I will fill the cupcake liners and then pop them all it at one go. Watch out for the hot steam when you open the cover. I've tried a few recipes, and most require cooking time of about 5-5.5min.The wire cord is really short. I barely have any clearance from the wall when I am using the cupcake maker.

Very Handy, fun for the family
We purchased this for our son for Christmas and it was a definite hit! My son really enjoys how simple this is to use. My only wish was that it was bigger/had more slots for cupcakes. As a mini maker it takes a long long time to go through a whole cake batter since you can only cook a small amount at a time. If I was baking I would use an oven to cook more at once - but this is great for an older child or anyone without an oven.

Taste good but !!!!!!
This mini cupcake maker bakes the cupcakes fast. No dial to adjust the temp, you need to check it again and again. It bakes bottom , not the top, so I flippedit over and baked the top for about another minute. Would have liked to havethe cupcake maker do most of the work. Good point...... is the cupcakes are small and you get to eat a few. Taste great if you don't burn them.

Best thing ever!
Can't say enough good things about this cupcake maker. I use it all the time when I bake in my classroom. We make muffins usually, but I've also made savory appetizers. Safe enough for my 2 1/2 to 6 year old students to use. I had to buy another because my first one was getting old. I would love to have two or three on hand.
