As Seen On Shudder’s “Deadstream”, no ghosts included
The bag itself is long enough for my T-Rex torso; however, I suspect folks with a chest over 50” may not be comfortable with the shoulder straps. Other packs seem to have more give, then snuggle on with the buckles adjusted. This one starts snugger. There is more than enough room for stuff that isn’t individually bulky, as the various compartments allow a lot to be packed. The mesh under the shoulder straps and on the back is a bit grippy (aka scratchy). No thin shirts or shirtless packing excursions as it would be irritating, like a burr, but also helps it stay on while bicycling, like a burr.I cut off the waist strap (just a nylon webbing strap without padding), and cut off the zigzag side straps. Neither is useful to me; however, you can easily get padded slipover pieces for the waist, such as a seatbelt cover, if needed.

Well Constructed
Use for wildland fire fighting gear, plenty of room for gear and essentials.

Good pack overall
I bought this to replace one identical to it. The other one lasted many years, but eventually the straps at the top started to pull apart. Well, the new one started to pull apart very soon after purchasing it. I'll keep it, but just beware. I might find someone with a good sewing machine to repair it. Otherwise, the zippers are good, the number of pockets externally and internally make it flexible to pack.

I thought this was better quality than I was expecting based on the one ...
When I first got it, I thought this was better quality than I was expecting based on the one other review I had seen on here. But now having used it for a month or so, I can see where it's going to tear in one spot already, and I don't put that much weight in it (<5lbs). I'm going to go ahead and give it up to 3 stars because at least the price was pretty cheap compared to some of the competitors. Just not something I would've been happy about if I needed a heavy duty pack or expected a longer lifespan.
