The Legacy of War (Review #284)
Visionary writer Jonathan Hickman is back at Marvel Comics, steering the X-Men in a revolutionary new direction. House of X (2019) #1 set up the new status quo for mutantkind in the present whereas this series will explore everything from the past to the distant future. What's going on in the past is interesting, though mostly a tease right now. The future we are shown is a definitive mashup of all previous future X-Men timelines. So much familiar put together in such a clever way. The art by R. B. Silva is just as good as that of House of X. It's unclear as of right now how this series will connect to House of X in any meaningful way or what it hopes to accomplish right now but I can say I am interested in finding that out.4/5

Finally
Hickmans Avengers was so good!! A bit long to finally get to the point but still good! This is shaping up to be even better and I'm very excited. Familiar characters and intriguing new ones. This book takes you from the first page and doesn't let go.

The beginning of a complete reboot of the X-universe.
Raises a lot of questions. I'm looking forward to where Hickman is going with this.

I love this series
I love this new version of the Xmen. I don't want to spoil anything in this series, but one thing I can say is that Avengers Endgame is the best movie ever made #Truth

Another great idea of the X-Men.
Yet another good reason why to love Jonathan Hickman X-Men for so many good things and do much more for the better.

Can't for more
I haven't been this excited for an X-Men relaunch since Schism. Can't wait to see what Hickman has planned for the Children of The Atom

Dull
I realise it's setting the scene but this was disappointing and dull. It doesn't work as a stand alone book, hopefully the series will live up to the hype.

Solid read
Exciting new X-men era. Sets up questions and is plunging us head-first into long-term stroytelling. I'm all for it. Artwork is also top notch.
