Built tough and great for tough jobs
I'm an aircraft mechanic. I've forgotten how many phones I've gone through with broken screens, poor battery life, dropping, crushing, exposure to grease/oil/skydrol/jet fuel. This puppy is tough. And works better than advertised. Of not, the ad and description said not VoWiFi capable, but it is. I don't know if it's a software update or what, but it is VOIP. Downloads are fast, and everything that I had on my Samsung works on my Blackview. It's a little heavier than most similar sized phones and the battery is not replaceable, but so far that hasn't been an issue. Heavy feels solid in my hand. Built in protection means I don't have to find a case that stands up to the stuff it gets exposed to.I highly recommend this phone - and the X1 watch I ordered with it.

Over promised and under delivered....Overpriced junk
This phone is not user friendly. The battery does last longer than usual, but it takes longer than normal to charge. Charge it at night and it still needed more time in the morning to finish the charge. The best feature which I actually found useful is that it fell in water and was not affected by the water. The case is also shock resistant.Four months after the purchase and the phone does not turn on anymore. Taking pictures and tying text messages is very difficult. The camera is terrible, and the pictures are terrible. Overall a terrible purchase especially now that I am outside of the return/refund window and the phone does not work anymore.

Excellent Job Site Phone and great for TMobile
First off, I have T Mobile and this phone works fantastically. It connects to the 4G LTE network and I have download speeds of about 30+ MBPS.It's a beast too. Sure it is a little slow to respond compared to a flagship but as someone that has had it in a hospital construction site for three days so far, it's Ruggedness makes up for any speed. The only thing I can say to help other customers is just make sure you have aicro SD card. It doesn't have a ton of memory on board but even with a cheap 32 gb card you will be happy.I'll update this review at the end of the job in a month, but I can tell you now I'm am pretty confident that my back will break before this thing will break.

Sturdy but takes some getting used to
There are a lot of strange issues when getting this phone to work. AT&T and Cricket say they don't support the phone yet if you just plug a working sim card of their into the phone it works fine. I use Cricket. T-Mobile says they support it but they are stupid expensive. The music feature on it does not seem to work. If you download Music Hero (free) it works fine. In order to transfer files and music from your computer you have to adjust the USB cable settings.Really nice and durable phone. Just took a little getting used to. I notice that the person trying their hardest on here to do tech support seems to speak English as a 2nd language (no offense meant by this) and does not seem to understand the problems people are having with the phone. I'm going to go back through and see if I can help people with the issues. I really like the phone. Great price too.

Not as rugged as I had hoped
Based on the outstanding reviews and Blackview's long standing in the industry, I was hoping that this phone would end my long quest for the perfect Rugged Phone. I had previously used a Gator Plum phone. Although it failed too, it at least had some features that this phone doesn't.Granted, most people are not going to expose their cell phone devices to an extreme environment. If you simply need a work phone that can handle some rain, dirt and grime at a job site, this phone will fit your needs. I work outside a lot and my phone is constantly getting rained on, covered in all kinds of dirt and debris. What killed this phone, and every other phone I've owned, is salt water. I fish from Kayak, and although it did survive a couple of seasons so far, it's starting to give trouble. The main problem right now is the navigation compass is faulty. This is a feature I really do need in a rugged phone because I go way out in the ocean and use navigation apps to locate bottom structure. Not even a year in and the needle in the phone is failing. Yes, I tried calibrating it. It is failing. Also, after submerging the phone is saltwater, it takes a day or two for the water or salt to get out from the speakers within the phone. Its hard hearing people when they talk and the ringer is distorted. Just for the record, I'm not purposely dipping my phone into sea water. Things just happen with any outdoors man.I'm beginning to think there really is no such thing as a rugged phone for my needs.Another thing I disliked about the phone is the battery life. For a phone that is geared towards people with hobbies like mine, you'd think they would prioritized batter life. Not so. One time I was extensively using a navigation app in new waters and unknowingly diminished the battery life to 15% from a full charge. I noticed when I got back to shore and thought, gee, I hope I have enough for a phone call in case my truck gets stuck because I went down a mile half unpaved road to get here with many craters filled with water. The battery life on the Plum Gater would literally run for days without a charge. In my opinion a rugged/survival phone should have long battery life, loud speakers so you can hear clearly in wind and rain (or machinery if at a job site) and should withstand some abuse and of course can withstand shock, water and dirt. This phone's sound is average. Has no battery life. Can withstand standard work site abuse, but not anything extreme. Then again no phone can handle anything extreme. The rugged phone industry has yet to fulfill this void. I'd be willing to spend extra for a phone that I know can withstand abuse if it means me not being inconvenienced by looking for another phone every six months.

Good Battery Life, Excellent Screen Quality
The phone's battery for me lasts 3-4 days, using it mainly for workouts and text messaging. The screen display is very crisp. With 3GB of RAM it is the fastest phone I have owned. I have not dropped it in the water to test the waterproof feature, however, the phone is solidly built, having its own case built around it. One minor issue I've had is charging it as the port on the phone, naturally, has a waterproof plug. This plug does not come out completely so you don't have to worry about losing it; however, it does get in the way when trying to attached the power supply. It is not difficult but does take some maneuvering to get it plugged in. Overall, very pleased with the phone.
