This is an exceptional deer call. I don't have a great deal of experience with grunts but this seems to meet my expectation when dealing with such an item. This grunt makes multiple ranges of noises and appears to replicate that of the deer. I have taken it once but my skill seems to need more practice, I cant say I've taken a deer only because of this call. It's great and seems to make the sound I want with ease! Thanks. On a side note for ways to improve this: 1. To change the sound you have to take it apart and roll or slide the O-Ring to the desired level. This means you're taking it apart to change the sound, I would appreciate something more "slide lever" or if the pieces came with a connector so they could stay together as one when or if you're tuning its sound in the "field". I would hate to think that someone drops it or loses parts while trying to change sounds. 2. An additional O-Ring would be great too since I have to change sounds, I imagine over time the rolling of the O-Ring in various weather conditions wears on it and will eventually cause it to break. Without that O-Ring holding the reed down, it would render the grunt worthless. Plus if you had gloves on you cant move the O-Ring very well. I have made it work, but in my effort to reinvent the wheel, there are always ways to improve. Food for thought, great product though- thank you.

Works well

I had a friend recommend this as I we were going into the rut. I had never used one, but decided to give it a shot. It arrived on a Tuesday night, and my wife had fun laughing at me as I played with it, and figured out best use. The next day, I headed out into the woods. I patiently put out a casual grunt every 45 min, and to my surprise, in the distance i heard a deer Snort. From that point, I would grunt about ever 15 min, but heard nothing. An hour later, I heard something, and to my shock it was a large 8 pointer 20 yards out. I didn't have a clear shot, and eventually he when to leave the area. I let out two strong grunts, as a last ditch effort. He stopped in his tracks, turned around, and walked back towards me. I was blessed with a perfect broadside shot! So I would say this worked as designed!

Produces a deep guttural sound. I did not use any of the available adjustments. Perfect right out of the box for a dominant buck sound.

The call works well, but there is a significant design flaw. The small ORing used to adjust the call types is either not included in the package, or it falls off every time you change the call type. I have purchased three different versions of this call, and all have the same issue. Loose the ORing in the stand and you're out of the game! Has happened twice. This time it wasn't even in the package!

Haven’t called a deer in yet but I’m not exactly a pro and according to videos it sounds like it’s suppose to!!!!

The sounds are adjustable. I've had 5 different grunt calls. This one is closest to the real tending grunts I've had occurs from bucks right beside my blind. It's close but not yet accurate. It takes too much air to start, therefore it's hard to get those very short 1/2 second or less single burps nice and crisp. You can do better. My HS will do it, but it doesn't have the strap & it's long. You've go a good idea, so complete the design. Make it work with less air (make more sensitive) The wheeze should have a smaller hole so you can get a nice long call after the first couple of short ones. It has to be far more resonant. The deer up here are far louder than your imitation. It's just not that convincing. The elastic band is stupid. It should be made from webbing with a clip so it can be more durable and easier to strap on. Primos - please keep working on this. It's very close.
