Examine the FACTS of your alternatives
FACTS ABOUT BOTTLED WATER: 1. Bottled water manufacturers are not required to disclose as much information as municipal water utilities. 2. The Food and Drug Administration oversees bottled water, and U.S. EPA is in charge of tap water. FDA lacks the regulatory authority of EPA. 3. FDA regulates bottled water as a food and cannot require certified lab testing or violation reporting. Furthermore, FDA does not require bottled water companies to disclose to consumers where the water came from, how it has been treated or what contaminants it contains. In a survey of 188 brands of bottled water found only two companies providing such information about its product to consumers. 4. Enjoy an occasional Perrier?: Benzene was once found in it! 5. Federal bottled water regulation is weaker than the tap water regulations facing city water supplies. The bottled water industry is disingenuous in pointing out that there are significant flaws in the tap water regulatory scheme, since MANY MORE FLAWS EXIST IN BOTTLED WATER RULES. Its been proven that when one buys bottled water, whether it be some designer brand such as Fiji, or a less expensive brand (e.g., Kirkland brand from Costco) that there's no way of knowing that the water your getting is any better or safer than your local tap water and indeed may even not be as safe. My mind's always been boggled about the lack of regulations for the booming bottled water industry. There simply are no stringent health requirements for bottled water. The only thing you can be certain of when you spend your hard earned money on a bottle of water is that you're getting clear, clean looking water; which has absolutely nothing to do with the water's quality. What's been proven about carbon filters such as the type that's used in this Bobble product, Britas, and in many of the newer refrigerators that have water dispensers and/or ice-makers? Carbon filters are very effective at removing a number of deleterious chemicals. These include chlorine, benzene, radon, solvents trihalomethane compounds, volatile organic chemicals such as pesticides and herbicides and hundreds of other man-made chemicals that may come into contact with tap water as it proceeds through the system. In addition, filters remove bad tastes and odors from the water. On a practical note, this 18.5 ounce Bobble should fit in just about any car cup holder. One of my cars has unusually small cup holders and it fits nicely. The primary reasons for using carbon-filtered water, such as the Bobble provides are addressed above. What else is relevant?: 1. These 18.5 ounce capacity Bobbles are roughly the same size as the typical water bottle people buy in stores so the argument that these are "too small" is not only subjective but also simply not true when compared to most bottled water. 2. Not only will you likely get better quality water but you will save a ton of money. I've paid as much as $4.00 for a single bottle of water at many entertainment venues such as movie theaters, playhouses, sports venues, etc. One Bobble filter is effective for 300 gallons of water. 3. It's a far better alternative for our world's environment. Some people don't care about that but I do and consider this: Each replaceable Bobble filter equates to OVER 300 SINGLE-SERVE BOTTLES. In one year alone you'll have removed literally thousands of bottles from the environment, simply by filtering the water from any tap. 4. These are great for travel. Going on vacation or traveling for work?: Throw a couple of empty Bobbles into your luggage. When you arrive at your destination all you need to have good drinking water is a water fountain or tap water from a sink. 5. These bottles are not "thick, heavy" plastic but then again, neither are the bottles of water you've been buying. My point here is that if you're using it regularly, even if the Bobble bottle should break or become unusable after say three months, you'd still save a ton of money buying a new one four times a years versus traditional individual-sized bottled water. However, I've been using mine for about three months already and I can tell you there is no indication that I'll need to replace it anytime soon. 6. If I knew that I was getting excellent QUALITY water by buying Fiji, Dasani, Evian, Crystal Springs, Arrowhead, Aquafina, etc... you get the idea then I'd buy it. But the simple truth is I know I'm getting significantly improved quality water with the Bobble. That's not the case with the aforementioned brands or any of their competitors. 7. There's no such thing as the perfect product and there are people that will ignore the big picture and focus on a minor inconvenience or minor product flaw as a justification for not using it or giving it a bad review. With this review, I'm not implying that the Bobble is "the be all end all water bottle product". I'm just trying to employ logic, based upon facts and data, an not emotion. 8. A summary: I think this is the best, or certainly one of the best, bottled water products there are. It uses a carbon filter, something proven to be effective. It's easy to use. It's easy to travel with. It will fit in almost any car, if not all, car cup holders. Because you can bring it in empty; it's allowed at many entertainment venues that won't let you bring food or drink in. Another benefit of being able to carry it empty is that you can bring it through airport security and thus onto your flight where you can fill it on board. Finally, Brita makes a similar product to the Bobble. In researching the Bobble vs. the Brita water bottle (either the hard or the soft version); the Bobble gets consistently better reviews. Hope this helps.

... filter but the price for this bottle was so great that I thought I mine as well get a' ...
I needed just the filter but the price for this bottle was so great that I thought I mine as well get a' whole' nother water bottle!!!! The only reason why I'm not getting this same one again is because I don't want to collect bottles. When this came, after I cleaned out through squirting the water bottle 2 times it was ready to go but I was so amazed at how clean and pure the water was after only 2 times of I forgot what vocab lingo they used but squirting the excess out!!!!!! And the color is still VERY pretty even though it's much lighter and not as bold and vibrant as the picture. I actually like this color better! ^_^ Great quality!!!!! By the way, this picture of the bottle did NOT come with the green cap. It came with a purple cap that matched the filter. This green cap was from my previous bobble. Anyways, Thank you company for this wonderful product. Lol!!!!

Great water bottle!
It is wonderful to have a filter attached to the water bottle that does it's job well! It says each filter lasts about the equivalent of 300 water bottles and that is pretty accurate. Note: the bottle is a bit hard to squeeze if it gets too cold and they do begin leaking when the bottle wears out every 3 months or so. Still much better than buying that many disposable water bottles though and I definitely will buy again. (I have bought three so far.)

Very good product
I have used Bobbles for 4yrs now and love them. They are getting hard to find. I hope they don't stop selling them. This is my favorite because it is 32oz. We have water here that tastes like dirt, and it filters out the bad taste. The filters do last 3months
