Disappointed
A year ago I purchased my first Phillips Dusk to Dawn energy saver bulb and loved it. It came on reliably every day without any any effort on our part. When another outdoor light bulb expired, I didn't hesitate to buy more bulbs, even buying the dual pack for a back up. Unfortunately neither bulb works correctly. The bulbs go out for no apparent reason at night, when it's incredibly dark. I'll be contacting the seller and update the review if they are helpful.

Make your home and property safer at night!
Works exactly as advertised. I use it for my back screened-in porch light. It comes on at dusk and goes off when the sun comes up. Remember that there must be enough daylight to cause the sensor to turn off, not necessary to have direct sunlight on it though. If the weather is very cloudy, overcast, or rainy, the light may not go off or it may come on sooner than actual darkness. I'm very pleased with it and plan to use them in some other fixtures around my doors and pool since I now know how well they work. It's very convenient to know the light will come on at dusk when I am away from home, and makes my property and home safer after dark in my opinion. These bulbs in conjunction with motion lights on the corners of my house are reassuring in these uncertain times.

Has worked great so far - better than buying a dusk to dawn light. I have 2, one at my door and one halfway to my driveway, both have performed as expected, come on at dusk and go off at dawn.

I bought 2 of these for outside porch lights. They are working very well, on at night, off in morning, just as advertised and as I expected. I was careful to point the sensor to the side facing sun.

These bulbs are amazing! Just install them as you would any other light bulb - flip the correlating light switch to the on position - and forget about it! The lights come on at dusk and go off at dawn! Highly recommended! One must consider that there are places that the sun won't reach the bulb's sensor, like, under porches etc., but personally, the benefit of never coming home to a dark house "outside" far outweighs that!
