The Formless Self

Well written. Thoroughly researched. Eloquently told, Stambaugh’s explanation as such, is that of the formless self, ‘actualizing the fundamental point.’

The writing was not clear, too academic. Also I disagreed with the premise of the whole book, too much influenced by Japanese Zen writers. She should have looked at the Chinese/Chan tradition.

Excellent study. I was very impressed with the insights and explanations. I highly recommend this book.
