Thick to Use
First off, the orange has a citrusy flavor. I didn't realize when I grabbed this. Worked out okay, I guess, for my peanut butter balls. :) You get six packages of 8 oz of candy melts. Easy to melt, though I found out while dipping that the double boiler method works better as it gets pretty thick once you take it off the heat. I also added a teaspoon of shortening as it appeared to be too thick to dip properly. Other than that, the candy melts worked fine and I have a few packages left over from my candy making. You can also use it in cake decorating, cupcake toppings, and for cookies. I did not try those but will certainly think about it the next time I'm making cakes, cupcakes or cookies. Like I said at the beginning, the candy melts have a citrusy taste that is noticeable, but not overpowering.

Melts Smooth and Creamy and Tastes Delish!
These Wilton Orange Crème Candy Melts smell as delicious as they taste. For my first experience with these melts, I microwaved a full bag for one minute and fifteen seconds on high—stopping midway to stir, and the consistency came out perfectly for what I wanted to do with the candy melts. (My pic makes the glaze look like nacho cheese, but I swear it's not!) I spread the creamy, scoopable mixture over the top of sugar cookies with the back of the spoon I dolloped it with. Then I sprinkled all kinds of festive toppings on the cookies, which set completely within a half an hour. The texture once set was firm but not crumbly, holding the toppings in place perfectly. (See pic) I’ve since also used a half a bag that I microwaved on high for only one minute, stirring halfway, to achieve the desired whipped consistency I like, to apply the creamy frosting onto other cookies (No pic) . Less melts = less time. I have worked with melts, bark, and nibs in the past, and these Wilton candy melts are just as consistent and easy to use as any other type of candied glaze I’ve tried. And it needs to be said twice--the orange crème flavor is scrumptious! If you feel my personal product experience has helped you, please click the Helpful button, as I'm always aspiring to improve the quality of my reviews. As usual, if my continued experience with the product changes in any way from what I've stated presently, I will update the current review. Thank you!

Love the orange!
Wilton candy melts are a brand I trust when making cake pops, chocolate covered rice krispy treats, chocolate covered strawberries or even when using in my chocolate fountain. I was excited to try these orange flavored candy melts and have been happy with the flavor. It pairs nicely with vanilla, lemon or white cake for cake pops. I do not usually purchase the flavored candy melts because it can be very limiting to what product you can use them for, but if you’re looking to infuse a little orange flavor into your dessert, these would be a great way to do it. This contains 6 bags of candy melts. This is roughly the amount I would use in my chocolate fountain so it’s nice to get such a large amount of all the same color and flavor. These melt easily in the microwave and I’ve never burnt them or had them clump up from overheating. I start off in intervals of 30 seconds while stirring in between. Once they start to melt I switch to 15 second intervals so as not to burn them. When using for cake pops or other chocolate covered products, I add paramount crystals to thin down the chocolate. This also helps keep the chocolate from having such heavy coats and potentially causing your cake pop (or whatever else) to fall off the stick. I love using Wilton candy melts and think this orange flavor is a great product.

Yummy orange dreamsicle flavor candy melts!
These Wilton 8 oz. Orange Crème Candy Melts taste delicious even straight out of the bag! I tested out one bag, and not only do they taste like an "Orange Dreamsicle" flavor (one of my favs!), but they melt easily and are easy to work with. I actually had to hide the remaining 5 bags in this 6-pack, as my kids sampled a couple of pieces of them straight out of the bag and wanted to keep eating all of them! They're great quality candy melts, and I love how simple they are to melt and use in tasty goodies. I have big plans for the remaining bags of these - so long as I can make sure my kiddos don't get to them first and eat them up before I can use them! They definitely get two thumbs up from this household - very tasty!

Fun for dipping!
I’ve tried a few colors from this brand and they are great. I’ve made dipped pretzels and stuff. My next goal is cake pops—which I’ve made before, but I’ve tried to do keto, which is impossible with this stuff (which is basically sugar). I’m excited to see how the smooth coating comes out. I like the orange color. These candy melts don’t have a ton of flavor, again, they are basically sugar. But their shape means they are fairly easy to melt, and if you follow the instructions, they get to a good consistency. I’ve found I can even re-melt a bowl when it’s started to harden, as long as I stir a lot. (Maybe add a touch of cream.)
