FLEXIMOUNTS® P03-S Mini Adjustable Tablet stand for iPad 1/iPad 2/iPad 3/iPad 4"

I purchased this to hold a tablet out by my swim spa. I use a 10" tablet. The grip is very firm and I have no worries about it falling out. The quality of the product is very high. Nice heavy base and aluminum stand. At the highest setting the bottom of my tablet is 33" off the ground. It is very sturdy to interact with the tablet at any height. Would be great to put by a sofa or for use in any sitting position.

The second time I used this, the ball hinge was no longer strong enough to hold my Ipad in position and would sag, regardless of how much I tightened the plastic nut designed to lock it into place. I was able to get it to stay in place by taping the hinge in the position I wanted it. I can't complain too much since it was cheap and I guess I got what I paid for.

The stand is reasonably sturdy. I love its small foot print allowing me to place it in many places around the house.I have 2 issues with this stand.First, although the stand's height is adjustable, doing so is not particularly easy. It requires a) adjust the knob and then b) slide it up or down. The problem is sliding it is a bit rough. There is no sliding mechanism, it's just 2 pieces of metals/plastic sliding against each other. I have a feeling it's gonna wear out someday if I do it often. Plus, the weight of the ipad makes the whole process even harder. I end up leaving it at pretty much the same height and no adjust it anymore.Second, putting the ipad in and taking it out are also harder than I expected. You can't do it with one hand. On the holding plate, one bar is fixed and one bar is pushable go hold the clamp the ipad back into place. If I put the pushable bar on top, it will lift the stand up when I try to take it out. If I place it below, it could push the stand down and fall. Doing it with two hands is better but I still find it awkward.Overall it's a sturdy stand and I love it for that. But in terms of flexibility, it's not really there.

I was excited to get this because my daughter us disabled from a car accident and her only method of communication is through a computer. I am trying to raise money to get her an iPad because her computer was broken by the nursing home she was in for a couple of months (they are denying liability) and Medicaid won't get her another computer for 4 more years because they only get one every 5 years. When this came on a lightning I decided to get it before the iPad so I'd have it. Rather than pack it away for a year (how long it will take me to get an iPad) I decided to put it together to make sure all was there and it worked properly. Right out of the box it seemed like good quality. The first step is secure the support post with a bolt on the bottom. It only went so far and stopped. I'm a single mom so no men in the house to help. Now if you have a cute neighbor you've been trying to figure how to go over and talk to, this is the item for you. I went to my neighbor (which I have no interest) to see if he could tighten it. Nope. It appears to be cross threaded. At this point I still want the product so I call the toll free number from the literature in the box. I thought if they could send me a new post and bolt it'd be ok. I call and press the corresponding number for customer service. Oh. My. Gosh. The mailbox was full (at 4:30 p.m., 1:30 their time)!!! I call back and dial zero, as instructed for an operator. Oh. My. Gosh. Times 2. The operator could not answer the call!!! I'm now concerned this is not a real company so am sadly returning the defective product and baking a plate of cookies for my neighbor as a thank you.

I had been researching this item for a long time. My situation has to do with having the IPAD 2 on my lap and having to look down which causes neck pain. This product is very sturdy and it is bargain at $72 for those people that have back and neck issues. I highly recommend it!
