Summary The Koubachi Wi-Fi Plant Sensor contains high-precision sensors. The soil sensor measures moisture and temperature in the substrate, the light sensor determines the type and intensity of the light and in addition also the ambient temperature of the plant is measured. Thanks to the built-in wireless connection of the sensor, all data are sent to the "Koubachi Plant Care Engine", where these are analyzed and evaluated. You’ll then get detailed instructions and a specific care plan for each single plant. Taking care of your plants has never been easier - even without a green thumb. The Koubachi Plant Care App Depending on the plant type, the time of the year, and your location, Koubachi's interactive plant care assistant will give you exact care instructions based on scientifically proven plant care models. You can choose a plant type from a large plant cyclopedia and connect it to the Wi-Fi Plant Sensor. When the time comes, Koubachi will send you notifications about watering,mistin, fertilizing light- and temperature-conditions. The app can be downloaded for free on the App Store, the Android Store or you can use it via the Web.

It doesn't even work as a paperweight
If I could give this sensor a negative star, I would. Basically, it doesn't sync. The instructions are minimal (3 sentences), but if the instructions do not work, basically, you are out of luck. This is a very expensive paperweight. Don't bother.Update: It was announced today (4/4/2016) that the company was just sold and now you can't even use the software. Even more of a paperweight than it was before.
