Tailbone Protector and Butt Pad by Booty Guard

Q: Can this be worn under snowboard pants?

I am in roller derby. I took the belt off and stick the pad in my pants and it is secure. If I wear men's compression type underwear (I'm a woman) it's even more secure. I have fallen on the floor, on a skate wheel..and it has been fine for my sport. It has s hard plastic shield that seems to work well. If I was slamming on a rail....not so sure.

Q: The picture doesn't show much in the way of cushion. Looks like it needs more padding. Opinions?

It has plastic on the outside. It was what I was looking for. The other kinds of butt protectors were too bulky and didn't fit under my ski pants.I needed to protect my sacrem after a few bad snowboard falls.It doesn't stay securely In place. I had to keep repositioning it. But I didn't mind because it did the job I was looking for.

Q: what prevents it from flipping up or staying in place?

Thanks so much for the question.The friction between the ski pant and base layer pretty much keeps it in place.This is not to say that you might have to just push down during the day.The strap and being perforated is the plus with this protector.Have have been using my protector for seven years and never have had a perspiration issue or a fit problem.If you are not happy with the performance,Not an issue,just return it.I will not slide without this protector.I do most of my sliding in the Northeast and we have slick,icy conditions.One bad fall could result in a very short season.Hope this answered your question.Feel free to call me if you should have any other questions.DenisFounder of BootyGuard516-521-6750 EST
