Water tight
I used this product to water proof the seams in my tile backer for a tub surround in a bathroom. Product goes on easy, dries fast, and clean up is a breeze. Best if used with the fiberglass tape. Makes a solid barrier. High recommend over other products on the market.

It's expensive but it's the best - why would you skimp on the most important part of your waterproofing job?
The best waterproofing barrier out there - period. You can't do better than this. If you're wondering what the consistency is for the Hydro Barrier it is about like pudding out of a pudding cup. The warmer your work environment is the looser the material is. I used a 6" roller with a 1/4" nap and it went on just fine. I used a simple flex putty knife for applying the joints and Laticrete fabric joint tape that is used with the barrier material.

Best Exterior waterproofer
This is just the best exterior water proofer to use on Permabase or Durarock. I have used this to water proof a new fire pit, Pool water feature, and outdoor kitchen and then did the masonry work right on top. Also used a brown coat right on top for an acrylic stucco application on my outdoor kitchen. Great stuff. the 3.5 gallon is a much better value as well

Great water proofing product
I used this with its membrane product to completely waterproff my tub/shower suround over Denseshield backer board. I applied it with a 2-inch brush and it went quickly. It sits on top of the backer board about a 1/32 inch so it is no problem to tile over it and still keep the tiles at a uniform width. Be sure to fill all joints and nail/screws with their water proofing cauilking and flaten the caulking with a putty knife befort it sets up, prior to appling the Lacticrete Hydro Barrier.

Makes my shower waterproof.
The product arrived damaged and leaking, but customer service quickly responded to my email and gave me some helpful advice (for which I am eternally grateful!). For anyone reading this that this might happen to, first I cleaned up the outside as best as I could using disinfecting wipes (only thing I had available), turned it upside down so the crack was now on top, and used actual duct tape (the shiny stuff that goes on duct work) to wrap the bottom of the container where it had cracked. Then, I turned it back over and let it sit for 24 hours. This allowed the product to dry in the crack but not seep out past the duct tape and kept the remaining product usable. It was after I sealed the crack that I finally opened the container. I did not lose too much of it, so I felt that was able to complete my project without ordering more.I used it with the Laticrete Waterproofing Membrane Fabric (also sold through Amazon) to seal the walls of my shower and make them water proof. I ended up doing two full coats as well as some touch ups where needed and still had some left. I used it on three walls and the ceiling, If I did my math correctly, this would be approximately 68 square feet of coverage per coat, though I may have estimated a little high. I did also do thinner coats, as I built the shower to be waterproof from the studs out, so I did not need to use as much of this.

Great Product! Watch out on shipping (can leak)!
This is a great product and works really well. There are several good YouTube videos on how to utilize this correctly.Watch out with ordering this, though. Amazon shipped this to me with other items I had ordered and the container leaked some in the box, ruining half of the other items. This product was still good to use and I had enough for what I was doing, but I highly recommend having this shipped with nothing else.

This product was a great find I was redoing my master bath and was looking for a waterproofing agent. The option out there are all very different I enjoyed the ease and versatility of this product. I built a custom shower so looking at the options of sheets that I have to cut and mold to the shape of the shower just seemed like to many wasted man hours. Plus the price of the other sytems was much greater in the long run cause you have to but corner forms and tape and glue all those pieces together. This system you get he reinforcement tape and paint his into all the crack and crevasses apply the tape to the corners and paint a couple more layers throughout the entire shower encloser. Once this product dried you just tile right over it. Couldn't recommend this anymore otherwise I would

No leaks during shipping
Saw comments about leaking during shipping but did not experience that. Product was shipped inside plastic bag and surrounded by packing material in the box. No leaking at all. Easy to spread on Durock cement board. Decided to use rubber gloves b/c it was a bit difficult to get off my hands. Used 50' roll of 6" Waterproofing Fiberglass mesh tape tape but wish I would've ordered the 75' roll from X Fasten b/c I ran out on standard bathroom tub enclosure. Plus it was almost half the price.
