Inspirational
Nice and funny, and it gave me the push I needed to start cleaning out the junk from my house and life! :) It's a nice read, it lifts your heart. Recommend to all who need a little change in their life for the better!

This was fun. Not sure that I had made the right choice, but enjoyed from page one. I read huge numbers of books, so am really fussy. Have to capture me in the first pages and keep me engaged. This was one I wanted to simply keep going. Easy to get really involved in the life of the characters.

New author for me
If you love Jill Mansell you will love Milly Johnson too. Funny, entertaining, and a little revenge makes this enjoyable and satisfying read.

Ok - but not the best one
Being a huge fan of the author and lapping up her books so far - this one was a bit hohum - it wasn't until I got half way through that i really wanted to continue reading. The end is sweet though and worth battling it out for ;)

A Spring Affair - a fun witty romp - Milly Johnson again excels with quirky characters and a story you cant put down!! Cant wait for her next book due later this month.

My favorite Milly Johnson novel
I loved every bit of this book. I have reread it more than any other book I own. Decluttering her possessions and her relationships totally changed the heroines life. Frothy and fun as well

A pleasure to read
Milly Johnson has zapped it with this humorous, well written, well-paced book. Lou, having endured years of put-downs and manipulation by her husband, Phil, comes across a magazine article which advises woman how to clean out the junk of years. At first, Lou doesn't want to think about it, but finds herself quietly tearing the article out of the magazine and taking it home with her. Small things make larger things - and Lou, beginning with a cutlery drawer soon becomes gripped by ambition. Over a period of weeks, the whole house gets cleaned of everything unnecessary, as Lou begins to stand up for herself. Finally she is forced to face up to what she has allowed Phil to do to her and take the necessary action to deal with it. How Lou meets her soul mate and clears out her most difficult piece of junk comprises the traditional plot. However, Ms Johnson has imbued this work with a sparkle and charm all its own. I had great pleasure in reading this book in one sitting and it helps if one suffers from insomnia!!!

Another fun read by Milly Johnson
I love Milly's women, they are real women with flaws, hearts that break but are open to finding love again. They laugh at themselves, they're not perfect, far from it but best of all, they're real! And everyone gets what they deserve! Both the good and the bad. So enjoy her writing.

Ditch the junk in your life
Just recently reread A Spring Affair and Lou is a gem among Milly Johnson's heroines. I love watching her get rid of the trash in her life, including a total jerk of a husband. Phil was one of the first characters who made me wonder if such crap husbands actually exist - he was that awful. A happy end all around - it was wonderful to see Lou make the changes that brought her to her dream life.
